The good thing about TitanFall 2 is that it makes you feel like a badass with every little thing that you do. Simply wall-running while reloading makes you feel like a boss. Every single animation and combat sequence just produces so much dopamine.

At the ranges you're meant to engage in by using good movement, ADS is unnecessary 90% of the time. The recoil is a little extreme to encourage you to learn to move through enemy positions like the pilot in the opening cinematic instead of just sitting and popping shots. The center dot in your hipfire reticle is very accurate, which is necessary for shooting in midair and while sliding Movement speed is calculated only by momentum, so equipment has no effect. Short wallruns and slides increase momentum, but sprinting and jogging slows you down. The more time you spend attached to a surface where there's traction, the more speed you lose. Think of a baseball being thrown through the air, then rolling to a stop in the dirt Melee is a two-way street. If you mistime it, the enemy will counterattack for half your health unless you back off You can disengage from ziplines and wallruns early with the crouch button, allowing you to open fire on your way to the surface below Your speed when wallrunning is calculated by an aggregate of your entry momentum and the direction you push your stick. Anything northward of around 45 degrees from your body's azimuth will keep you at full speed, and pushing harder into the wall will slow you down for better accuracy or to give you time to line up a counter jump Now that you've seen what the most important controls are, you can customize everything about your control binding and sensitivity curves, even on console. This takes a lot of fiddling and trade-offs to get right. I recommend some variant of bumper jumper so you can aim in midair

Also the name of the game "apex legends" comes from the "apex games" which is the tournament that you fight in apex legends, and the name of the apex games comes from the faction that started the tournament called the "apex predators" which just so happens to be one of the factions that you can join in the multiplayer in Titanfall 2. Tips for gameplay! As everyone’s saying, dialogue is important so keep an eye out for that. Also, if you don’t jump off a wall soon enough you will slide off it and won’t be able to travel as far. And as for the difficulty, I recommend getting used to the Titan mechanics the best you can as the fights get very difficult later on :)

Something that really struck me about the game was the sound design. All of the munitions sounded strangely accurate and really punchy. Even some things, like the firecracker like eruption of some of the grenades and the thuds of heavy weapons and plasma are all so clean and perfect.

Pathfinder(the robot from Apex, and my #2 favorite character, #1 belongs to Bloodhound) is a Mk. III Mobile Robotic Versatile Entity Automated Assistant unit, or MRVN Unit for short. Also known as "Marvins," MRVN Units aren't designed for combat. Instead, they're used for public or private assistance, like workers, if you will. They were designed for routine manufacturing and tasks. You can actually see them in the campaign, giving maintenance to some machines, computers, TItans, etc. Pathfinder is a MRVN that went rogue. The robots that actually try to kill you in this level are called Specters.

One thing to know is that Titan Fall is built around the movement of the pilots and the firepower of the Titans. Try not to stand still as a pilot as you have low health no matter the difficulty and you can evade the enemie and straight out by bass fights just by movement. As a Titan just manage your abilities to keep a consistent amount of damage Btw there are diologue actions you can do in game

‘Is that supposed to be the same model as the robot dude from apex.’ Pathfinder in apex is a modified M.R.V.N maintenance robot, which you will come across later in the campaign, suited for combat and traversal. Whereas the Spectres that you see in the opening mission are essentially used as infantry to reduce combat casualties.

In Apex, the robot Pathfinder is a MRVN unit, you were asking if the Spectres were like the same unit as a MRVN. MRVN in Titanfall 2 are very friendly guys- I like them. But Spectres are robots manufactured by Hammond Robotics I believe. Pathfinder does not know who his creator is.

Respawn are also the old Devs from Infinity Ward, original makers of COD from 1 to MW2 (which explains a lot whi that saga went downhill since MW3 specially in campaign wise) and also explains why Star Wars: JFO, Titanfall and Apex are great games.

They are spectres, like a combat MRVN, and he is a special scout class of MRVN with enhanced intelligence.

With all the comments about missing the dialogue options. I’m going ahead of the curve and tell Luke that you can execute boss titans with the melee button. (Maybe you have to hold the melee button)

STRONGLY recommend changing the bumper jumper controls. They’ll allow you to aim better while walk running and jumping all over the place

25:05 game gives you a damage indicator on the edges of the screen. Also, in hard mode, grunt melees one-shot kill you, so good luck lol. Also, BT's interactions are where the important story beats come from. If you miss them, you miss the story. Missing out on probably the best FPS campaign story to date. Matthew Mercer giving us an amazing performance as Jack Cooper, with Glenn Steinbaum as BT being the best brother-in-arms anyone could ask for
