But honestly I found the most perfect woman I could ever imagine and leaving her every tour wouldn't sit right with me, so I think I'm gonna do something else. So that's how it's going 😂

The point is to break you so you quit. It weeds out people who aren't right for the Royal Marines. It's incomprehensible to most people, including some ex-Royal Marines recruits, why anyone would bother to destroy themselves for 9 months to join the military for dogshit pay. And that's fine, they aren't for the Marines but will find their place somewhere else. For others though, it just feels right. There is more to life than a fat bank account and a big comfy settee.
