WOW!! That is beautiful vacuum with massive performance. True work of art.

Have to "watch later" because of a busy day. But already expecting big things from Royal. You've never disappointed so far!

Nice! Can’t wait to see it’s cfm and sand in the carpet test.

The vibrations in the head are because it has a 9amp motor. At one time Royals used 4amp motors. I’ve heard that since they’ve been increased the extra rpm and vibration can cause the brushrolls to break so keep an extra one on hand. Great machine. I’ve wanted one for a long time.

I can confirm that the 7 amp models don't vibrate hardly at all.

My 9 amp 2075 vibrates a fair bit, but I've never had it break a brushroll.

I have a vacuum just like this-same model. Bought mine new from the GreenvillevS&Vac when it was new and these still being made. Last week I bought a used Royal 8300 Everlasting model a customer turned in. Both of these are BEASTS! If it’s on the floor these will pick it up! I usually go for Kirby’s go for these Royals instead. The Everlast is 10A Pro is 9. Don’t see much if any difference. Was looking at my Pro model as you unpacked yours. Oh how I wish these machines could be brought back!! I ordered some yellow “HEPA “ style paper bags-would like to get the synthetic “white” unmarked bags. They were sold individually. The Royal “A” bags have a paper fill tube-they are like F&G bags-won’t fit your Royal Pro. If you have an older Royal upright that uses the “A” bag use them in that. I have my fathers old Royal 886 that uses A bags.

I been looking forward to seeing you test one if these. I have one similar in my collection a Royal Everlast 8300. Lovely machine....just a bit to loud and a little bit to aggressive with the bristle stiffeners. Be nice to see if you can confirm if it eats similar amount of carpet to the Eurekas you tested not to long ago. Be nice if you got a tools set to one of these as well to test its hose suction and airflow. The M305G attachment set is quite nice. Hope lifes treating you well at your end.🙂

Looking forward to the tests!

Nice! You should have a blast testing this one. I almost bought an 18" Commercial Royal, with infinite adj. and a shakeout (what I used at the time). Never did, always kinda wished I had. Now I hear rumors that Royal may cease producing these which I understand in a way, but hope doesn't happen. If they do, maybe you could swing financing to by up all the old patterns, dies, etc and start the "VacLab Classic Vacuum Cleaner Company" and keep the dream alive (I've often thought that if someone could start making new Hoover Classic, Jr, Senior, with some newer parts for those that can't be sourced anymore they could find buyers...think Indian Motorcycles, Vincent, etc). Can't wait to see the numbers this one cranks out.

Finally! A Royal for testing! I have a 10.5 amp model, 4.5 amp model and a 6 amp one....definitely prefer the lower amped ones for sound pleasantness

Great video. Any idea on why the clear plastic is sewn onto the front bottom of the bag?
@VacLab4 жыл бұрын
It's protective. Prevents snagging especially when vacuuming under furniture.

I've used an Everlast 8300, which has the 10 amp motor. I'm not convinced it's any more skookum than the 9 amp motor on my 2075, though I'd need to stick them both on an airflow box to be sure. (Mine is also modded to use Kirby bags, which the 8300 was not - that might matter, since the Kirby fill tube is a bit bigger.)

Just got one from a thrift store, a simpler model, the Royal Commercial model 89103C. Only issue so far as I can tell is some wear and tear on the mechanism that holds the handle vertical, it doesn’t reliably stay vertical.

Is this a commercial vacuum?

I wish there was a direct-air power nozzle for canister vacuums that had 150 CFM plus. Thinking about designing one. It would need to be a compact version of a sanitaire head in the shape of an Oreck upright power head with lower profile.
@VacLab3 жыл бұрын
What you ask for can't work. In order to obtain 150 nozzle CFM, you would need 200-250 CFM at the canister itself. The most power central vacuums don't start with more than 140-ish CFM, so you would need two. Now you are at over 3000 dual canister Watts and a large diameter hose. Also, 150 nozzle CFM isn't push-able, that's why Kirbys have tech drives and Royals have "grabby" bristles.

TTI owned Royal in 2003.If that royal was made in 2018 then that would be made by TTI.The newer versions of royals are not as good quality as the classics but there still great vacuums.And if anyone's wondering TTI is the Chinese company that owns many other vacuum brands
@dylbeentheplotagonistandra28114 жыл бұрын
TURBO 360 and TTi also killed the Royal All-Metal plus the entire Royal brand in general. I’m starting to hate TTi even more
