Royal Shakespeare Company: The Winter's Tale trailer

The Winter's Tale returns to the repertoire at The Courtyard Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon, from 14 July - 2 September 2010 before transferring to the Theatre Royal, Newcastle and London's Roundhouse.
Powerful, wealthy and surrounded by loving family, Leontes should be content. Instead he is ill at ease with the world around him. Isolated by a destructive jealousy, he lashes out at his family, losing his wife and son and abandoning his daughter in distant Bohemia.
The Ensemble is directed by David Farr and includes Greg Hicks as Leontes and Kelly Hunter as Hermione.

Saw this as part of A Practical Approach to Directing class at Yale. I enjoyed it. Especially Paulina. Did not like the hole in the floor that remained throughout the second act.

It establishes the fall and ruin of a realm, with an embattled queen at the center, and a man who by the end has ruined everything. I've not read The Winter's Tale yet. But this trailer tells me there's anger, and jealousy, and bitterness, and damage, and innocence mistaken. And I'm betting this is close to the plot.

So RSC it become so full of hollywood stupidity all latest presentation become vulgar and honest banality....Shakespeare is not rave or rock and roll. He is the BOOK the sacred words and need silence to understand. The rest is foolinhess.......
