Her upstaging Kate would never be an issue precisely because she’s the wife of the 6th in line. Think of Andrew’s wife, Sarah, she wore huge puffy sleeves, a long train, tons of bows and embellishments, a big A embroidered on the train, etc. The idea that the queen has to approve dresses is also false, and Meghan later said the queen didn’t even see it until it was finished. It was simple because she chose it that way

Meghan's dress is not what is bad, it's just that the overall combo with the tiara and veil didn't work out. Had she wore a taller tiara, to give her height, or secured the veil higher, the effect would have been other. As it was, she looked shrunk (can't explain it better), like she was being swallowed by all the fabrics, and the top of her head looked squashed. I also believe that a crisp white dress, with no ornaments whatsoever, deserve either an amazing tiara or a rich embroidered veil. She had none. And the embroidery of the veil was ugly. Like a 100 euro veil you buy in a cheap bride store. To top it all, the bouquet was also very plain, so there was nothing there to bring the dress up. Swedish princess Victoria, in her wedding day, pulled the simple dress look completely, she looked stunning. Meghan, in my opinion, didn't look her best. Though her dress was pretty, she didn't make it shine. The reception dress, on the other hand, made her beautiful!

Hi only just discovered your channel and very interesting to hear an American take on the royal wedding fashion. It made me laugh when you called the queen my Queen 😁 Some of these royal looks can seem a bit outdated because of their formality, but it's important to understand they are incredibly formal affairs and the female guests were requested to wear hats. And you will have seen many of the males dressed in formal tails. I do think Beatrice and Eugenie need some direction as although they need to look formal, the outfits they choose make them appear much older than their years and look so frumpy. There must be formal outfits out there that can be more flattering for them. Although Oprah's outfit was generally pretty I thought it was far too tight across her bust. Also you kept referring to the wedding as a summer wedding, it was in spring, May, which is a very difficult month to dress for as it can be either cold and wet or warm. I wondered if many of the women had two outfits, just in case. Look forward to seeing more of your reviews

I could see this being worn in the spring or late summer time, right when the weather is cool and you're going to a lavish boat party in the Hamptons. It gives me that nautical look. The other one is a no, completely. Hello? the 80's called and Alexis Carrington asked for her ensemble back, type tease. Um, why the hell is Kate wearing white when she's not the bride? That's in poor taste and is very frowned upon unless requested by the bride for a theme. Princess Eugene's dress made her look older then she is and the bag does not fit with her look. I totally agree with you about the Beckhams. He looks like a groom were as she looks like she's Wednesday Addams going to a after party from a funeral. I disagree about Serena. She just had a baby and has not gotten down to her ideal weight yet. Her boobs are bigger because of breast feeding, so I think her wearing a wrap dress keeps her respectfully covered, yet comfortable. I think the hat complimented her braids. What I don't get are her husband's socks. This is a grown up event, why is he wearing those instead of men's dress socks? I like the military jackets except the horror running down the front. It looks like some 70's ruffles business, but in a black color. Meaghan's dress, at first I was like...Wait, that's it?! Nothing fancy, just plain? But then the more she was in it the more I liked it. Plus, this is her second wedding. I will agree that the fitting should have been better tailored, but other than that it was beautiful. I loved the concept of detail on the veil. I wished she at least wore a small diamond cross to make the dress pop just a little more. I loved her diamond bracelet, and lived for her crown. That second dress looked amazing on her. In the end though, her own flawless beauty was the thing that wowed the most. Maybe she didn't need a dress as fancy as Kate's. I find it funny that Kate is a very plain Jane wardrobe wearing type of girl but her dress wash flashy. Meaghan is "Hollywood" but dressed plain and simple for her wedding.

Why can't priyanka chopra wear sarees to anything? They are so elegant and formal, she can showcase the culture at the international stage? Instead she usually wears ugly dresses wtf! Not a lot of people know thus, but she starred in an bollywood song called desi girl, she looked hot as fuck and revived the saree in the indian youth! i need her to have a saree moment!
