Diana was damaged most probably from the bitter custody battle as a child. Lets not forget the dreadful way her Brother treated his first two wives. Her own treatment of Oliver Hoares wife, her stalking, pushing her step mother downstairs, the rages & the fact she was hardly speaking to any of her friends at the time of her death signals how damaged she was.

But for me the bouquets of Meghan an Catherine are better ... maybe it is because I am 1 y ear older than Diana (born in 1960) and now I don't like the overloaded fashion etc. of the 80th (although I may have worn a kind of that clothes during those years myself - you didn't get anything else ..) ... the today's fashion is more classy ... I remember Diana herself said in the 90th that she doesn't like her wedding dress any more ... but all royal brides are wonderful -- always a very great and beautiful show !!! Diana’s tiara was absolutely spectacular, the dress was very fairly tale like but huge! The bouquet looked like a hanging basket. She was so beautiful though. Catherine was the most beautifully and elegantly dressed bride.

I think they way they both look at each other was the best. You can clearly see the love between them. William didn't even look for Catherine when she was coming down the aisle (if he did it was quick and the cameras didn't capture it). Harry on the other hand didn't take his eyes off her, it was too sweet!

@@sunshineNshit in most Anglican weddings I've noticed, the groom doesn't look at the bride until she reaches him. I don't think it was a case of who loved who more, or showed who loved who more.

@@jesselynlee I never said who loved who more. I only commented that the love was more obvious with Harry and Megan because they were looking at one another. If William and Kate did that I'm sure it would be obvious ad well, but they didn't. I know Royal protocol saids about the groom not turning around but as history has taught us Harry doesn't care about that. I just thought they were really sweet.

@@sunshineNshit it's more show than love to me. Her fake love looks are so obvious. William on the other side was respecting the tradition, who knows maybe this is what Kate wanted. Still the fact that he wanted to followed the tradition but couldn't help and looked at her for just a second shows how real his love is.

Even for 1981, Diana's dress was over the top! Poor lovely young girl, she looked miserable, and I'm sure the weight of that dress didn't help matters. She was so flustered, she couldn't even get Charlie's full name right.

It was meant to be - after all she was, as she thought, "I'm the luckiest girl in the world" So in love with Charles - that wedding was THE wedding of the "century". The priest said "this is the stuff that fairytales are made of" but this fairytale was not one in that "They lived happily ever after. (BTW, Charles flubbed his lines about "all worldly goods --") I saw in a documentary that Charles had invited his mistress, Camilla???!!

The hardest part to look at in terms of fashion to me despite the Era is Fergies flowered headpiece as it fights for attention with everything else. In terms of Charles and Diana, they both look scared in my humble opinion. Meanwhile, Philip and the Queen look proud and the Queen almost looks giddy at their wedding. I truly think they had hopes for them. Sad how it ended

Sheena Winfrey Fergie wore a flower crown over the actual tiara so that when they left to sign the marriage certificate she would remove it to show the actual tiara. Symbolizing that when she walked in the church she was a normal girl and when she walked out she was a princess. I agree it is odd looking but the meaning is so sweet imo 💗
