I have ideas for the Royal Canadian Navy. Multiple, Simple solutions that can provide results that project effectiveness in areas where it's needed. Especially towards the North of the country.

It would be refreshing to see them focused on Canada defence instead of being off in other places they have no business being in.

@@Nephalem2002 Without going into the ton of reasons why it’ll never happen in our lifetime, the thing I will touch on is personnel. A single Ford Class carrier would require the entire navy to operate. And that’s only POSSIBLY doable because it requires about 1000 less people than a Nimitz class!

Need more warships. 12 frigates, four conventional subs, is much too lean for these dangerous times. And our littoral navy fleet has about thirty .50 bmg and four 25mm scattered amongst 21 vessels for self defense. Why are they armed to a standard of defending against Japanese Zeros circa 1945? Kind of embarrassing folks.

I have confidence In the people in our armed forces. They are awesome. Not so with our government. Our armed forces should be here not all over the world. Plus they need new and modern equipment. My 70 years of living in Canada, and our neighbors USA were never attacked or threatened until recently when getting involved in other peoples wars. I can understand helping some refugees. But sending in our troops ,,,no. Those countries have been fighting for years. Do really think we're gonna stop that. Now since the last idiot voted in to run our country, we've been involved in shit all over the world with out dated equipment. All kinds of our tax money for the middle east and Africa, and the UN and China. I could list more but you'd bored with reading it. But not of our tax money for us.
