The food was good, at midnight they did a chocolate buffet where the chefs did every kind of chocolate you can think of presented beautifully. Entertainment was great as was the disco. I know now it’s older but she was a class act then. Loved her!

@HACHi00_200 Жыл бұрын
@@xtr0n1c Hii I just got back home yesterday. The trip was great and yes the ship and her staff and crew were amazing. There's almost always something going on that you can attend on the ship: seminars, events, competitions etc. As for the islands we visited, they all have something different to offer and were fun overall. A tip for excursions, which you may have heard already, is that booking with the cruise line is more expensive sometimes. We went some with the ship and then some privately so it depends on what you'd prefer. The ship is smaller than others but I think that's not a bad thing because there's a better staff to passenger ratio and you'll definitely be well taken care of. Over all, it was a great trip and I'd definitely cruise with this ship/ line again.

This definitely reminds me of classic Royal Caribbean ships I briefly remember taking a Royal Caribbean cruise in 2006/2007 on I think Sovereign Of The Seas (I was only 6/7 so I don’t remember everything). The design of this ship is Definitely close to what I remember. I definitely prefer the Oasis Class ships but I love the nostalgia from these older ships. I also prefer the Royal Promenade deck but seeing the atrium gives me nostalgia as well from my first Royal Caribbean ship.

@kennywalker40912 жыл бұрын
I've been on 7 cruises since Oct 25th, 3 different cruise lines, Royal, Carnival and MSC. Every ship in every cruise line is understaffed. Everyone has said the same thing; its the backlog at the offices that process work visas because of their own shortness of staff. And yet the staff that was there was utterly amazing! Certain venues had to reduce hours or some services couldn't be provided but we made do. It is getting better though. Vast improvement from October to my Alaskan Cruise last month. I'll be on the Rhapsody out of Barbados in January. I can't wait! I'm now all about sailing these classic ships as much as we can, while we can. 😀

How was your cruise last fall? We’ll be sailing out of Israel this summer? Anything we should be aware of?
@batshevanivylerner8582 Жыл бұрын
@@kwnowicki Haifa port is industrial, not a cruise port. So it's less user friendly than dedicated cruise ports. There's a lot of walking involved. If you're mobility challenged, be sure to ask for help. They had transportation at two spots to take you on the longest parts. My husband and i walked it, but if walking is difficult for you, be aware that there is transportation (golf cart type things that will take you from one spot to another). Some people complained about long lines at check in, but that wasn't our experience. But i'm sure there were very long lines due to people coming before their port arrival time. People were told that they had to hand over their carry on luggage in addition to check in luggage, but we didn't do that. We just said we couldn't be parted from our carry ons (lots of medicine that i don't ever let anyone else near). So they let us keep our carryons (backpack and rollerboards). That's all i can think of off hand. Feel free to ask any questions.

@@kwnowicki In October 2022 we were on the 4 night that went to Limassol and Rhodes. We're going again in 2023, but only on the 5 night as that's the only date our kids and grandkids could all go. Otherwise, i would have booked the 7 night. We enjoyed both Limassol and Rhodes. Most people think Limassol was a waste of time, but we found it to be interesting. My husband and I like to take walking tours offered by the cruise line (unless we're with our kids, in which case we're usually babysitting on port days LOL). Anyway, in Limassol we did the walking tour from Royal. Limassol is also an industrial port, so you need to take about a 10 minute bus ride to get to the marina and old town area. Royal offers a bus shuttle for maybe 10 euro? or 5 euro? I'm not sure. So you can do it on your own, but we really enjoyed the walking tour (which included bus transportation from the ship). The tour was 3 hours long. The local guide was excellent. We started in the marina where she showed us around. Then we all stopped in an ice cream parlor where we each were given an ice cream cone (flavor of our choosing). It was included in the price of the tour. Then we walked to the old town where she showed us around. About an hour later she stopped at a little restaurant where we could have free sandwiches (i don't remember what they're called, but it was a typical greek sandwich). My husband and i didn't have one, just had a coke each, but those on the tour who ate it said it was very good. Again, included in the tour. The final stop was at a little arak maker, where we each got a free shot of arak (if you wanted it). I should add the 3 hour walking tour with free food and bus transportation from and back to the ship was only $35. A pretty good deal. The next day was Rhodes where the port is literally at the gate of the old city. You just walk off the ship and into the old town. We had also signed up for a walking tour, but no one else signed up so it was cancelled. So my husband and i walked around on our own. Old town Rhodes is lovely. We really enjoyed our walk there. After about 2 hours of walking we stopped at this charming little courtyard restaurant to have coffee and then decided to have lunch and ice cream there as well. It was just such a nice place. Later i learned that it's one of the recommended places to visit (on trip advisor etc). I don't remember the name, but i'll look for it and post it here. And that was it. Just two ports. Our cruise this year is supposed to include limassol, athens and maybe mykonos? i don't recall.
