i think England and Scotland are the only two. there were some welsh aspects added to the coronation in England this year. and Wales hasnt had a king of their own since the 1200s and were a part of the kingdom of England for a long time

I didn't realize that Scotland had a separate coronation, especially after having read that they brought back the Stone of Scone, the Stone of Destiny, to London for the coronation of King Charles this year.It really brings back lots of memories, when I studied "British life and Institutions" at college in England.One of my professors was actually a Scotsman and the other funnily enough a Welshman! St Giles is not a cathedral. The Church of Scotland (Presbyterian) has no bishops. St Giles is a protestant meeting house.

St. Giles IS still a cathedral. It was consecrated as a cathedral before the reformation and it cannot be deconsecrated. It can be desecrated by the rites of the presbyterians, but it remains a sanctified space.

Not at all. the king is being presented with the Honours of Scotland on behalf of the nation and the people of Scotland. This is not a new ceremony, but the last time it occurred was in 1953.
