I think Eugenie’s dress was supposed to be a Sixties retro moment but I don’t think a royal wedding was the appropriate moment for it. I think Catherine wore a remake of a recognizable coat dress to avoid pulling focus from the bride. She wore another remake to Eugenie’s wedding a few months later. I remember watching the livestream of H&M’s wedding and I literally gasped when I saw Lady Kitty in that gorgeous dress! Just stunning!

I think Meghan deliberately made no effort with her hair on her wedding day because of the big fight over the tiara. She’d wanted it delivered to her so her hairdresser could practice a style and threw a fit when she wasn’t allowed. I think it was a spite move, if she wasn’t allowed the tiara to practice on she wouldn’t bother with trying to make her hair nice. Then she could complain about it to Harry and say the family did it for meanness so she couldn’t have nice hair, or they were implying she was untrustworthy. It could be used as a weapon, like every other imagined slight or ‘insult.’

Remember from Harry’s book that she had a hair dresser from France who wanted the real tiara to practice with? And that was a hard no from the Queen. So the hairdresser flew back to France. Who paid for that? Weren’t there hairdressers in Britain? Isn’t there someone on the entire island that can style hair?

It's my understanding that MM was enamored with the messy bun look (it goes along with her ripped jeans fascination and that stupid fedora that she's worn forever) because it was uber hip and that's why she chose it. A mistake. Her hair looked terrible and her dress did not fit well. With a straight figure she needs a silhouette that had a slightly gathered bust and an Empire waist with perhaps a more feminine sleeve. And that veil... if it's good enough for HLMTQ then why of course it was suitable for MM (who'd be queen if she could ever get the Waleses planes to crash). And, though Amal Clooney looked smashing, I think she's a fame junkie who should have dialed it down - especially since they did not know H&M prior to receiving the invitation to the wedding. AC has repeatedly grabbed the spotlight by ignoring protocol. Not impressed.

It was also something she could weaponise against the royals to Harry, which suited her agenda. I very much agree with you about Lady Kitty, it's one of my all time favorites. She looks incredibly good. La Borromeo is often completely smashing, and her wedding look was top notch. You might also appreciate the Norwegian Crown Princess's wedding dress. I can't decide which I like best, hers or Crown Princess Victoria's. Amal Clooney is a Winter. Black, white and cool/jewel tones look best on her. I'm a Spring, so it's ice cream/80s pastels for me. Her dress and hat looked good, but I'm not loving the color choice. Too autumn-y. Gina Torres' hat is by Louise Green Millinery & Hats (now closed, Louise retired). I have a few of Louise's creations. Gina looked great that day. Sarah Rafferty's dress would've been perfect without the bell part of the sleeves. I'd have taken a seam ripper to the bell parts, then called it good. Pippa Middleton's dress looked like a bottle of Arizona Green Tea - horrid!!! Princess Eugenie's look is too Jackie Kennedy/too flight attendant. A longer length would've helped. The Valentino heels wouldn't have been my first choice - too evening. The look on Zara Tindall's face at the wedding was priceless - what did she know that we didn't?! Loved her outfit, too. When you're large with child, your options are limited. Fergie's outfit was too tight, a little tarty IMO. The hat looked good. She tends to wear clothing that's too tight. Priyanka Chopra's look had too much going on. I'd go for either the architectural skirt suit with a simple hat, or a simple skirt suit with an elaborate hat. Abigail Spencer...not loving it. Don't like the collar or cuffs, belt looks weird, dropped waist not flattering. HRH The Princess of Wales has this same dress?! Bleah! Sofia Wellesley = absolutely perfect! Lady Kitty Spencer = Not loving this. The green color is nice, but the flowers make me think of my grandma's TV trays from back in the day, and she's such a pretty girl! Love that hat, make-up and jewelry, but the dress is a hard no. HRH The then-Duchess of Cambridge = outfit is a light primrose yellow, but almost reads ivory in the sunlight. And I agree - for having had a baby weeks before, she looked fabulous! Princess Charlotte = poor baby, having to wear a dress that looked like total crap, and no tights/socks with the shoes. That's Rachel's fault. She hates kids, but she really hates Princess Charlotte, only because Charlotte is a princess of the blood and will always outrank her.

1. I heard somewhere that Oprah 's dress was a last-minute decision because The Palace told her the outfit she'd originally chosen (apparently they had to send a pic to get it approved) was too white (she said it was pale yellow). 2. My personal favorite look was Zara Tindall and (as always Catherine). Teal took it though, I love that color. And so advanced in her pregnancy I have to give her mad props for even going. Not to mention, the look on her face in that church cracks me up still today. 😂 I will give Beatrice an honorable mention as I thought she looked very nice. Eugenie looked like a discount 60's politician's wife. But at least they weren't an eyesore like they were at William and Catherine 's wedding. It looked like they went out of their way to dress like a couple of idiots at that wedding. And by far the worst dressed person at this celebrity show -off of a wedding was Rachel Markle herself. Whoever stood out there in the sun cheering and waiting to see the bride will never get those hours back. I've been a bridesmaid several times, and have sung for dozens of weddings both as a soloist and as part of a group. I have never seen a more bedraggled bride in my life. And her sloppy hair made her look like she'd been dragged backwards thru a hedge. Victoria Beckham could have worn the same dress she had on with the weird sleeves in white and would have looked better.
