When Rosalind and Orlando are banished from the oppressive court, they are forced to run for their lives into the wild depths of the Forest of Arden.
However, in that harsh, lyrical wilderness, they discover an unexpected freedom, and as their anarchic love story unfolds, Arden bursts into summer.
Maria Aberg directs following her riotous production of King John in the Swan Theatre as part of the World Shakespeare Festival.

I am having withdrawal symptoms from this show! I saw it a few weeks ago and again on Saturday night (the last performance). It is the best production of Shakespeare I have even seen!! I need to see it again! Please bring it back to the RST after it has been to Newcastle and please please please release the music!!!

Me too, Thursday evening. Second time in three months I've seen it and would go again in a heartbeat. Should be filmed and made compulsory in school curriculum. I doubt anybody would utter those damning "I don't get Shakespeare" words after seeing this production.

The RSC needs to do films of these plays, even if they end up redo-ing this in a few years time! I absolutely loved this play with all of it's Mumford-and-Sons-like music and antics (especially the end! ^^)

I really don't get it - the RSC does all these fantastic productions but never releases them for anyone to see - other than those who have the good fortune and the money to go to the theatre.... :-(

I know, no this year they released nearly all of their productions except for Cymbeline, which I really wanted to see - especially after seeing the movie version from 2014, their HAS to be better then that!

You can get tickets as low £10 if you don't mind some restrictions with view, Which I've sat at before and they are not too bad you pretty much can enjoy it as much as most other seats, I'm off this Saturday Stratford upon Avon, £10 ticket.
