My experience at the Royalton resort in Grenada was truly amazing .
I’ve been to Grenada many times since that’s where my family is from but this was the first time I’ve experienced staying at an all inclusive resort . I Traveled with sunwing and once we landed and got our bags, a mini bus/van was waiting to pick us up. The drive from the airport to the resort is very close. Less than 10 minutes away. Checking in was very easy plus they had drinks ready to serve while getting accommodated. There were attendance ready to escort you to your room & even give you a mini tour if needed.
Being in the 19th building had its perks since we were very close to the lobby, buffet and many other places. The only down side with being so close is depending on the time you go to bed you’d be able to hear the theatre entertainment/ music and other guest. Earplugs can easily help reduce the noise. It honestly didn’t bother us too much. The room overall was beautiful. Very modern and spacious. We were pleasantly surprised to see our big balcony had a Jacuzzi hot tub and 2 large sunbathing beds. The mini fridge was stocked and could be restocked throughout your stay. The grounds is lovely with many beautiful plants and vegetation. When it comes to the beach there’s 3 main areas and plenty of beach chairs & shade. The beach closest to the diamond club area did have more rocks near the shore but you could find some clear patches. However if you have water shoes that would be best to wear. For the other 2 beach areas the shoreline was more clear and not much rocks to worry about. There’s many beach activities to choose from and bars near by to have a nice meal or drink. Nibbles had some amazing bbq/grilled foods but seats could become limited depending on the time you go. They do serve lunch and snacks but no dinner.
We mainly ate at the international buffet which I truly enjoyed, even though there wasn’t a big selection there was more than enough and almost everyday something new to try. The dessert station with the freshly made crepes was my favourite! With the wonderful flavour of local nutmeg it would satisfy any sweet craving you may have. The caffe lounge also had so many amazing treats but always go early to get the best selection because some items ran out fast.
The main pool usually would be busy since everyone can use it, diamond members had their own pool to enjoy on top of the main one. Some rooms even feature a swim out pool which would be an added bonus.
Within the lobby you can book different activities outside the resort which I would recommend checking out. Plus you’d get to see the beautiful island.
Even if you aren’t staying there a week or a few days they have different passes you can buy to enjoy the grounds, beach , food and much more.
There's so many other places I wasn't able to capture on this tour like the gym, spa, tennis court and much more but that just means you'll have to go there to explore! 😅
I honestly had a wonderful time and will definitely love to go back. I’d give it a 4.5/5 rating and would recommend for others to check it out. If you have kids or want a couples get away this would be a lovely choice.

I have been watching many videos on this place and was ready to book, we were so excited because it looks so gorgeous, but now we are seeing reviews that there is mold in the rooms, really, we do not want that for the price of this place, i guess i can handle limited food choices but mold? What is your opinion since you just were there and you seem to love it did you not see mold or hear about it from others?

That’s very interesting and news to me! Our room was beautiful and never seen any mold..maybe those who experienced it happened to be in the same building? It’s hard to say. I feel like every resort you go to there may be that small chance you’ll have some type of issue. I heard someone say they had more bugs but I kid you not we only ever seen 2 mosquitoes in our room and considering we were there a full week that’s impressive. We also didn’t have any issues with limited food. I’d say there was always more than enough . I truly hope and pray if you go you’ll have an excellent time like us. If you do have any issues I hope it’s something that gets resolved asap. Our only problem with the room was that there was a slow leak in the jacuzzi. So when it was full the water would probably be gone by the ending of the day.

How is the beach at the resort ? Are there shuttles to gran anse or tips on getting around . Thank you

The beach was lovely! I’ve been to that beach once before but on the public side and now the resort and found it to be perfect. I spent more time on the side near the rental and Italian restaurant /pool since there was less rocks in the water and not as busy. I believe you can book excursions with the resort to go there. Or even taxis can bring you there and back. Since I do have alot of family there we would usually get picked up to leave the resort by a relative but I HIGHLY recommend going to gran anse beach 🏖️ its so beautiful and also very big. They have a great restaurant on Gran Anse called Umbrellas. Its a popular spot not to mention theres a mini mall/plaza walking distance if you want to stop in there to look around. Theres also a KFC near by. Hope that helps 🥰

There was a day where everyone wore white & if I’m not mistaken there was a beach party thing but the board would have more information with that. Sadly I didn’t really get a chance to attend anything either was too tired lol or had plans already. Sorry I don’t have more information about it 😣
