Oooh that could be a fun series trying to do multiple countries actually! Madagascar would be rainy and vanilla-y with rainforest colors, India could look like the Indian flag with hints of spices like cardamom, cumin, and chili. The US would be our flag and smell like donuts (or fried chicken 😂), Australia would be earthy scents with hints of saltwater or Eucalyptus. Bahamas could be beachy scents aswell. That's all I can think of off the top of my head!

Funnily enough we don’t have “Irish spring” soap here in Ireland, seems to be a marketing tactic. Also, the four leaf clover on the packaging is not a symbol of Ireland - it is the shamrock, which is a 3 leaf clover! Still loved the video, the soap turned out beautiful ☺️

Katie, I just wanted to thank you for this channel. It’s such an inspiration. I’ve wanted to design my own themed kitchen/dining-ware for a while now and a local shop finally gave me a chance. It’s very limited release so it’s not daunting and I’m able to switch things up seasonally, which is a huge blessing. I get to go at my own pace and choose my own products. I’m starting with Alice In Wonderland, my favorite book. I think this channel was a huge influence in my having the confidence to stay true to my own taste and style, which is a mix of quirky, very colorful & highly symbolic. Your soaps taught me there’s a market for that.

I grew up on Irish trad music, my grandmother would always play it when she lived with us. Some of my earliest memories are making my parents play old Irish Rovers and Dubliners songs on KZbin. The obsession never went away, and I still listen to it on the daily. I've recently been doing a lot more research and reading into the country and history for some personal and academic projects, and it's reigniting that interest tenfold. Otherwise, I've also always had a love for Scotland, and I desperately want to go to my family's home country of Norway.

I fell in love with Ireland in grade school after my dad went there for work and brought me home Irish folk music CDs. I did get to go after I graduated college, and I have to say, I know you have children, and this amazing business, but please, please, please go someday. You only live once, and experiences stay with you forever. My family and I still look back at our pictures, and listen to our music and burn a piece of turf (because it's what they burn for fuel, and nothing in the world smells like it) and we reminisce about the best trip we've ever taken. It is as beautiful, and as magical as you imagine it is, and you work so hard that you deserve to fulfill this dream someday. I beg of you lol
@what_a_snoot2 жыл бұрын
Burning turf was nearly banned recently as it’s a smoky fuel, very few houses still actually use it though .. iv read about 20-25%. It was very important in the past for Ireland though as we are naturally limited in oil, gas and coal!

I've been briefly to Ireland- just Dublin, and a bit of a view of the countryside. We went to find my Great Grandfather's house and his Father's old shop, and wandered around the city quite a bit. I'd love to go back and do more history tourism. But the place I haven't properly been, that is really calling me, is Wales. My Grandmother's family came out of Carmarthenshire and I think I might have tracked down the farm they used to own. It's also a dream of mine to get good enough with my little harp to throw it over my shoulder and take it with me to Wales, and learn some music there. (don't worry, it's a 22 string that fits in an overhead airplane compartment, not some honking big concert thing)

This was lovely! I've had such a rough week (currently taking a break from studying for my fifth exam in two weeks) and your enthusiasm is so contagious, it really made me smile!

I love how the green turned out! I'd love to visit southern Germany, more than anywhere! Mostly due to ancestral ties but also because from what I've read the weather and geography is exactly my stein of beer.

This soap is beautiful! The place I want to go is Sweden because I want to stay in an ice hotel and see the northern lights. Ice hotels are amazing and it's so cool how they're rebuilt every year with new sculptures. Plus, I like the cold because I don't have to worry about bugs.

That violin music at the beginning made me think, “Girl, you’re going to need a new blender…that one sounds weird!” 🤣

I love this soap! My family goes to a school where the symbol is Irish Clovers so this soap is cool and it really looks great!
