Incorrect. That is a story madeup by Diana's former butler, Paul Burrell. The one who stole things from her after she died. All of her jewelry is held in trust. Whatever she was given as gifts while married to Charles, went into the royal collection. Her privately held jewelery was supposedly split between the two brothers but no one really knows for certain. Either way, that ring is EXACTLY where it belongs.
