Royce White is heading to the NBA. The national newcomer of the year, All-American and All-Big 12 First-Team pick found out tonight with a group of supporters at the Sukup Basketball Complex. Royce White was selected 16th by the Houston Rockets in the 2012 NBA draft. Here are some highlights from his time with the Cyclones.

It's a GD shame what happened to Royce in the NBA. This is the type of prospect teams dream of nowadays; a high IQ 6'7 250 pound forward who moves and handles the ball like a guard, is highly committed to defense and plays a team-1st style. On top of that, Royce is an incredibly intelligent man and I have no doubt he would've maximized his potential and perfectly adapted to the new, high pace meta of the NBA. Basically could've been a better version of Draymond Green imo. Like imagine if James Harden had this type of do it all forward playing next to him all those years in Houston.
