The document at 13:58 shows arrivals to and from Trinidad but this was not slaves, by 1873 slavery had ended in these islands for over 3 decades.

You are correct, these were free people at that point in time, many of them would have been ex-slaves.

Reference this link for info on the 1783 Treaties of Versailles and the Grenada connection: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peace_of_Paris_(1783) The Peace of Paris of 1783 was the set of treaties that ended the American Revolutionary War. On 3 September 1783, representatives of King George III of Great Britain signed a treaty in Paris with representatives of the United States of America-commonly known as the Treaty of Paris (1783)-and two treaties at Versailles with representatives of King Louis XVI of France and King Charles III of Spain-commonly known as the Treaties of Versailles (1783). As a result of the 1783 Treaties, the French crown returned Grenada, St. Vincent, Dominica, St. Christopher (St. Kitts), Nevis and Montserrat to Britain, subject to guarantees of the right of French settlers in any of those islands.
