Kids today don’t know how easy they have it when it comes to music-I would spend an entire afternoon listening to the radio with my fingers poised above the play and rec buttons ready to push when my fave song came on! Then how angry I’d be if I went to the toilet at the wrong time or if the radio hosts decided to talk through half the song or cut it off before the end! I could wait for my fave song for HOURS just sitting there in still, silent anticipation 😂😂 Now you just go to KZbin and find anything! I think that’s why making your mate or crush a mixtape was considered really sweet back then as it took so much time and dedication to get your fave tunes especially if they were newly released. I would be so proud of my work! Nostalgia 😢

@@vaux_wolf4281 the thing I don’t miss though is arranging to meet a mate somewhere and then they don’t turn up on time. You can’t call them as have no mobile so you debate whether to go to a pay phone to call their landline and check if they have at least left to meet you. But what if you go to a pay phone and they turn up and now you’re not there and now they don’t know whether you’re coming or not and now they go off to the pay phone and you keep missing each other 😆😩 You really had to trust ppl to stick to plans and be punctual back then as you couldn’t just ring and say you’re gonna b a bit late. Now THAT I don’t miss!

I’m sorry to hear about your brother. The pain never fully leaves. I just have to force myself thru each day. In the year after my husband died, I lost my Nan and a cousin. Counselling has helped
