Great video. I've had the RP for 3+ years and fully endorse eveyrthing you said. REGARDLESS - You NAILED IT! @ 13:10 (The part you almost didn't throw in the video!!!) You explained the way you setup your patches so easily and perfectly. There is't a video I've seen yet or forum post with anyone explaining it that easily. The way you setup your board to switch between one mod effect is what I just finally started doing after 3 years and is the best way that nobody talks about clearly. And to think, you almost didn't include that part in your video! Any other videos on your patch setup, level/gain matching, etc.would surely be appreciated by the RP1000 community.

Hey Joe, thanks for the comments. I will try to make a video of my live rig this weekend and explain the patches and how I use them, stay tuned.

Can the lower 5 buttons be programmed to do extra effects or only for patch settings

Hey I've just ordered one of these but was a little concerned they were getting a little old. But I bought one as I wanted to use my amp (Mesa Road King 11) without the tone getting sucked out of it. Great info. Thanks

Grant McLauchlan Hey Grant, thanks for the comment. I have no problem with the RP1000 doing anything to my tone(Mesa Mark 5), I've had it for a while and have had no problems, good luck.

I have just bought one of these but am having issues. I have it set up correctly I believe with the 4 cable method into a Mesa Road King 11. Whether in Preset mode or Pedalboard I have no Delay effects. I think also no Reverb. Any help is appreciated.
@williamwhalen77649 жыл бұрын
Grant McLauchlan Hey Grant, you didn't say how you had it setup, but i'm guessing you are using effects only with your road king. You should have the 4 cable method setup correctly, In the back of the RP it tells where to setup the cables to your effects send and returns and to the amp. I would check cables, but if your other effects are working but not the reverb and delay, then it may be something on the amp. is your effects loop engaged? Are the effects level turned up?

Hi, When I have the AmpLoop switch on that is the only time I have sound. I have Compression and Distortion effects but no Chorus, Delay and Reverb. When the AmpLoop switch is off it is silent. So no modelled amps. Cables and both amp and RP are basically new.

Grant McLauchlan It is possible the unit is defective, if you can make a video of how you have it setup that would help. if you just use the RP1000 alone are you still getting no reverb, delay etc?

I have tried it into the Stomp loop as well - same result. I am sure my cable routing is correct. When I try the simple method of Guitar to RP input and RP Mono line out to my amp input it is silent. I am thinking to take it to a shop and test it on another amp.

Grant McLauchlan Yea that sounds like a good idea, good luck and let me know how it goes.

Can you use noise gate when in cabinet and amp simulation bypass? In other words, can you use the noise gate and effects without using any of the simulation (kinda like what you use it for). I am getting a 6505 mini, hoping this will work great for it without the use of 50 pedals. Thanks in advance.

I saw a video for the 4 cable method, can I use this with no stomps and just plug it into my Marshall mg30?
@williamwhalen77648 жыл бұрын
David Estridge I don't see a problem with that.

PLEASE ANSWER! Can you use the rp1000 as a footswitch for your amp? You know, change the chanels in the amp but also use fx effets such as delay, reverb, etc?
@williamwhalen77648 жыл бұрын
Not on my amp, there are no midi in or outs on the RP 1000 so you would need to use your foot controller for your amp.

Hey man i have a mark V too and I was wondering how you liked this? I run some stompboxes but they are a pain for all the cables and power supplies etc, (ibanez tube screamer boss dd3 and a decimator noise gate) I was wondering if the RP is good enough to replace my stomp boxes and I'd use it for fx only cause like you said we don't need amp sims with a mark V hahaha! Any help would be great as I'm considering trying out out, great vid and keep up the good work!
@williamwhalen77649 жыл бұрын
Eduardo Salvador I like it Eduardo, the effects are really good and I don't have to deal with as many cables and power supplies as you said. I sold a bunch of pedals and bought the RP 1000, and not regretting it. Hope this helps.

Eduardo Salvador I have a blackstar, love the sound of my amp. I simply press effects only on it and it shuts off the sims. great feature
