If you want this to be a commercial emulator, it should run more than 90% of the games full speed with at least the same visual quality as the original system. They would want to guarantee seamless experience. Instead of complaining, you have a choice. Just keep your original systems and games if you like them so much, or look out for homebrew/opensource projects if you are willing to make compromises here and there.

@@vdochev Sony has access to all internal documentation of PS3. Devs of this emulator don't and need to reverse engineer all of it. So Sony could've been multiple steps ahead in perfect emulation, but they just chose not to do it.

If you combine this with the mod being developed by someone (forgot their name) that puts a computer module inside of a PSP shell and keeps all the functionality of the buttons/screen, then it actually could happen. According to the block post they chose to run it at the PSP's resolution, so it would be incredibly fitting.

They even gave me a peek of a lower res in-game showing that it is posible (Because Xemu already supports upscaling, all that was needed was tweak the numbers down), but they just won't implement it because of the pixelated graphics... When you have (had) emulators like Yuzu downscaling to 0.75 or even 0.5, and now RPCS3 doing it, refusing to enable the option just because it's "ugly" is a backwards move from the Xemu devs.

Hoping I’ll be able to play MGS4 fairly comfortably on my PC soon. I’ve got a 3050, a Ryzen 5 5600X and 16 gigs of RAM. The game is also stored on my M.2 NVME that I have Windows 11 installed on. I played MGS2 and 3 on the HD Collection and they both ran like a dream on some of the latest builds aside from some graphical glitches with shadows in MGS2 and some red flashing during some cutscenes in Snake Eater. All in all I love RPCS3 and the work you’ve accomplished and will continue to accomplish! Keep on keeping on!

No, RPCS3 have already said no to android many many times. One of the main reasons is because the android community is awful. You have devices that range from good to absolutely awful, and.. the worst part is the demanding community of users that harass devs and make it an absolute waste of time. No developer should have to put up with them. Look at other Projects that tried, AetherSX2 etc, so many projects tried and abandoned Android because the community there is awful.

"Tegra X1 with maybe a slight overclock" it's the exact contrary, the Switch SoC is significantly underclocked compared to the original SKU, running at 1024MHz CPU and 768MHz GPU in docked mode versus the 2200MHz CPU and 1000MHz GPU in devices like the Nvidia Shield. Don't speak so confidently when you clearly don't know what you're talking about.

For LBP2 and 3, you can change your zcull accuracy to fastest and shader quality to low even if people say you can't, just change your resolution to 75% and it'll get rid of the screen glitches that usually occur when doing so. I dunno how setting the resolution to 75% fixes that, but it does and the lowest fps I'm getting now is 24. I haven't tried that trick on LBP1 cause the game runs smoothly on a steam deck anyways.

holy fuck, if the deck can get at least 30 fps in the most demanding titles and the "big breakthrough" that valve is waiting for is ray tracing without a risk of fire, the deck 2 would be the definitive way to play everything pre ray tracing era on the go since Bloodborne already runs at around 30 fps in its current state on the little thing. And the most incredible thing is that sony has not pulled the trigger on the ps4 yet 💀 If that happens I wouldn't mind buying the same pc handheld many times in a row, there are enough games throughout the last generations to keep you away from current AAA games and since denuvo is here to stay...

In spite of how pixelated all of the games need to be this is still very impressive for a 80 dollar ultra low powered toy for tech enthusiasts. If there was a way to lower to internal resolution while maintaining a high resolution UI that was be preferable because reading some of that low resolution text would make the play experience subpar even if you can handle the low resolution.
