Great video. I'd imagine anyone who's roleplayed has run into "that guy" who has to be a know-it-all instead of focusing on playing their character or limiting their knowledge to what their character would know "in-game".

I'm enjoying the new mic, and I do not hear the printer. When I run Pathfinder, I run it as a low-magic world in which magic users (especially non-devine) are feared and hated. There are no magic shops and all your magical gear has to be researched before you can make it (or found/given by GM/me). I also make the Pathfinder Society stand in opposition to the player's goals as an antagonist or nemesis (because hey, they are all murder-hobo-thieves).

I am one of those GMs that tends to avoid license RPGs for this reason. Playing MERP and Indiana Jones in the 80's with a great group had me totally unprepared for the nightmare of playing with other groups. My original group enjoyed the flavour of the various world's, but never pushed or tried to use their knowledge to subvert the stories. A couple of terrible groups later and I stopped and packed my FASA Trek away to never play it again.

Like so many things in rpgs the group can make it or break it, for every time I have joined or started a group that just gelled and became the source of some amazing games, there are the groups that grind to a halt that ks to one or more bad actors.

I'm curious if you've ever built a campaign based on a favorite IP that doesn't have a pre-existing game system. For example, I'd love to see what a Major Matt Mason campaign would look like based on the classic Mattel character.

Actually I had, including writing and running a Save Worlds based Firefly campaign (before the Margaret Weis game came out, ) a game based on Titan AE, and a Harry potter game (I even came up a d100 chart for wands based on 10 places for wood, and 1 places for cores)
