Tips on building towns: Have a central point. Build everything around it. Make sure that this point is busy, surrounded, etc. It gives it the impression of being crowded and centered.

@slowryd3r Its "Its hard to be a nissemand" was orginaly danish and came from the popular show "The Julekalender" which aired on the Danish TV 2 back in 1991, the concept was later borrowed by the Norwegian band The Travelling Strawberries for their own version of the julekalender in 1994 on the Norwegian TV 2. In 1997 the Finns too made a version with the band Trio Saletti for their channel MTV3. And there is a Polish version in the works atm

Jesse you know when you were talking about building from what you get in quests, you should make it where, the causes you to get those amounts of itmes during the quest, thus having them by the end of it, or just some quest have like a main item that you get a a few fluirsh item you also recieve i.e: 50 wood 25 smooth stone 40 cobble stone 10 logs. Please respond!

Jesse, instead of getting people to build a house why not get gold from quests then buy a house. But you have to be a certain level to buy different types of houses instead of just buying the biggest. Or give the player the option, early on in the 'campaign' they buy a small cottage to have for shelter but when they have pretty much completed the story they can make a house from materials they have unlocked. Like this pl0x

if your spawn an alchemy lab or an enchanting table in the game mode that jesse is on, and click on it, you can see your inventory and move things around

you could ask the SurvivalGames guys about refilling chests because they use a plugin that refills it every night, maybe you could change it to after it's been opened and the quests allows you to open it, then once you finish it the chest locks! (just sayin')

Not sure if you are still looking for world names, but I've a few. Sudali= You are going home, in Cherokee/Tsalagi, it's like a greeting/formality. Visvi= Journey, in Cherokee/Tsalagi. an cruinne cé- means earth roughly in Gaelic. chaidh= happened/has passed, like the great kingdoms of long ago have passed into memory. iùnais= wanting, following the same theme that the world wants to be great again/united. 'sam bith=literally; in the world. ùir=dust/earth fodhaibh= under you Just a few names :p

Funny thing I just realized. I've finished reading some chapters in Agile Scrum Development for Games (degree course, game design) and now just watching this. I can't help but realize that Jesse makes a very good publisher or product owner in the game industry. Except though this kind of project is free and he drives on slaves.

about undigging that cave-ish thing in order to get to the chest, how about you put an npc there but make him look like a chest? then you can limit and get the pickaxe once, and just write some description about the chest in the dialogue box, like "very old chest blah blah, and recover the pickaxe from it"

yo for the quests objectives (for instance the quest with the mining pick you don't want exploited) couldn't you make it an NPC (so you can get the item only once) and give it a chest skin? the conversation could be a simple caption like "a disheveled old chest" and just be there for turning in that part of the quest then reassigning you return to the original quest giver

For the quests, you could put some sort of useless item the NPC wants in exchange for said pick axe or sword. It would be useless to the players and the server, but could be something silly the NPC really needs.

for the chest refill problem you could just try modding the game to create a tool called quest item, with a bunch in a single chest. when you turn it in to the npc he gives you the tool or whatever

Jesse you can like just put an sort of artifact in the chest that serves no use in the game like for example an egg and then as a reward to that the npc that gives the quest will give you the sword

Why not look into things like Better than Wolves, Equivalent Exchange, and IndustrialCraft for some of the solutions you need? Or the Tale of Kingdoms mod, for NPC stuff. BtW has things like working waterwheels, windmills, hemp, rope, all sorts of stuff like that, Equivalent Exchange would have a lot of the more magical stuff, and IndustrialCraft has things like locked chests and automatic vendors and such that could be a low-tech solution to your multi-person problem.

Jesse. If you want to fix the whole "loot" problem. Perhaps you could try and make an NPC for all the things to give you said item? Like for instance a chest in that boat that gives you the sword instead of a normal chest with the sword in it.
