Something that I have been doing is, making a character specialize in only weapon and armor modding, and keeping them in the ranger hq... whenever you want to put mods on something, just pull them out and have them apply the mod, then put them back.. you save skill points on modding this way. This also works with barter

I love hitting enemies with the sniper, while my team sits back at a choke point with a couple of mounted turrets on either side and my flamer waiting at the door way. I then just run my sniper all the way back and let the enemy get peppered with turrets until they're close and then they get a flamethrower to the face. Works every time lol.

It’s funny you mentioned having more than 2 strength. I accidentally made a character with 1 strength and Poindexter. I did it notice the critical error I had made until my character had less than 10 hit points left and I was wondering why they were getting one shorted by everything.

Finally got this game. I can't believe I waited this long! Excellent video. I have 20hrs in W3 and I didn't see the info button! :D Thanks for that! But the characters were so good and refrences to W2 that I had to go and play Wasteland 2 before continuing my W3 playthrough. I really hope the refrence to W4 is not there for nothing. I sure won't wait for 1 year to get that. That'll be day1 purchase (maybe even pre-order) for sure!

Initially, sneaky shit on sniper is great. Later on opening up with suppression by having a sneaky shit big guns machine gunner is absolutely devastating.

Don't use med hypo just use food like ramen noodles Those food have 100% healing and only cost 2 AP to use in combat, buy them at every opportunity and you'll never need a combat medic again

there's a gigantic tip that you missed here so in case you weren't aware of it ill share this insane thing that i discovered. basically, if you select "ambush" on a character, you can then go back to it, and change the weapon he's actively holding. this will not cancel ambush, and instead he will use the weapon which you later put in his hand. why is this useful? you can ambush with a very low AP weapon, and then swap to a weapon that costs lots of AP per shot. so for instance, my sniper has 9 AP. so i start my turn by firing my sniper, i am then left with 3 AP, so i go ambush with a pistol. i then switch the active weapon from pistol back to sniper - and bingo! ambush with a sniper for HALF the AP! practically firing it twice in 1 turn. add to that "chain ambush" perk and you can do great things. =]

@@rpgdivision fair enough. 1 more thing i tested now. this appears to work even without weapons for 2 AP. 1)take off your *other* weapon while having 2 AP left. 2)go "ambush" with your fist. 3)put the weapon back in other hand. 4)switch to the weapon you want to ambush with p.s. this trick won't work when you have only 1 unit left with AP, since the moment you press "ambush" your turn ends so you can't swap weapons after that. that's why i like saving the truck for last, when possible.

I've also noticed that if you fire off a shot (from a sniper for example) even if it would leave you with 1ap, if you're quick you can queue up an ambush. Definitely a bug, but useful. Especially if it's tied to lag which can't be patched

i wonder is high int/speed characters as first round blitz sniper/burst squads still a thing like it was in wasteland 2? cuz youd have 3 of those in base party then one charecter as the chr/luck person for opening chests and doing dialog/bartering and didnt do jack in combat asides maybe medic. it utterly destroyed game difficulty by giving you a swiss army non combat support/utility charecter whose high chr helped nearby allies while everyone else is a hard hitting fast multi skilled death machine soley set up for murder

Int only gives a one of bonus to skills, so you can't have one skill monkey. Unless I'm missing something you can't pause and do coordinated attacks either. You can end up with a sniper that chain ambushes people if you get max sneak, but it'll take a while to get there

Astral Blaze ok then its balanced out compared to wasteland 2 where u go high/max int no luck no stam like 2 str and huge initiative w lil perception for accuracy. it pretty well destroyed the game having 2snipers like that one leader/chr/luck/speech monkey and one melee heavy str pack mule and ur snipers split the science/repair etc plus guest charecters helped too w skills later on. it was obscenely busted to just first turn smoke most enemies and then act before the others could and be done lol

ONE THING YOU SHOULD ALL KNOW: THIS STUPID GAME HAS A BUG WHERE THE FIRST TWO CHARACTERS YOU MAKE LOSE ALL THEIR STATS AND ATTRIBUTES IF YOU SWITCH THEM OUT MID GAME (about level 9 or so)IT’S SO FRUSTRATING AND THE ONLY OPTION IS TO HAVE A PRIOR SAVE BEFORE YOU SWITCHED THEM OUT LEST YOU LOSE HOURS OF PROGRESS.

Can someone please help me with this? On ps4 you press X to move your character during combat. When you want to move to a space where there is a dead body to loot it, during combat, you press X. You stop at the space next to that body to pick it up. If I want to move to the space where the body was, but I don’t want to loot it, how do I do that? You end up using your ap points on this pointless and stupid action otherwise and get stuck standing next to the body like an idiot. Someone please tell me how to move to the location and not loot the body please. I’m seriously not touching this game again until I figure that out. It’s game breaking.

I would suggest not putting points into kick ass or kiss ass skills. Both of these skills just open minor dialogue choices that dont seem necessary and dont earn any equipment. Later in the game Id much rather put skill points into something else like a secondary weapon for the Sniper or Big Guns character or even boost the first aid.
