For number 9 if you equip the horizontal slash ability as well as the berserk charge ability, you can do this without even using an ether or one of your drive forms, and you can get the hits to 99. First, press the triangle to activate the mushroom. Then, cast cure. After that, jump in the air and hit him and then immediately spam square. You'll literally be hitting him over and over with what are essentially Neverending finishers that finish quickly. You'll get him to 99 either first or second try as long as you don't mess up horribly. I ended up messing up my first try and still got 99 hits in so I can testify that it is insanely easy.

an even faster way is go into final form and get as close as you can to it and use a hi potion a couple times and it will kill it in about 2-3 seconds

Here's what I did on 8 that finally got me the combo. I did the Curaga, pulled it out of the ground, did 1 combo, did horizontal slash until about 78 hits (this happens about 1/5 of the times) and then I go into master form for the last combo. Realistically there's a few things you can do, you're just trying to get around a "wall" after about 60~65 hits where he gets bounced away, If you go into master form he's still in range for the next combo, though it really didn't feel like it was going to work the first few times.

It's also incredibly important to push directional input toward the mushroom during the horizontal slash, otherwise he will get away from you at about 50~60 swings _every_ time. Also to buy myself a little more leighway I have tried starting with thunder casts for free hits after pulling him out of the ground, though it's worth noting my _successful_ run I pulled him out of the ground and went straight into swinging, and stayed horizontal slashing _as close to the ground_ as I could manage. Maybe there's something funky about the top of the skybox like in KH1's ship?

i like how i see the shit in all these videos on what to do then i go to do it and they dont work at all 8 spikes into the ground if you even thunder once so i ended up berserk charge with master form to even make any progress and 9 stops spinning immediately if you cast magic on him at all so its real confusing to see this shit that dont work just work

For the record, all these were done with a Lvl. 99 Sora. There are other, faster ways of pulling this off that would be better suited for lower levels.

For mushroom 4 I used negative combo and had Fenrir equiped to spam magnet burst above the spawning mushrooms, I found that strategy to work better for me than wisdom form

Do I beat final xemnas as well?? I beat xemnas 1 where I fought him at the skyscraper and I saw the mushroom but now every time i go into the area it spawns, dancers and samurai spawn instead.

I actually had to bear the lingering will twice cause I beat but I factory reset for a stupid reason and didn't save so I had to beat him again. @@johnathonlawhorne7210 Next time you play a KH game remember that you can config their spell usage. If you want Donald to be a heal-bot you can remove his other skills from use and only allow him to cast cure in KH2 and in KH1 you can config him to prioritize healing and play defensively.

Mushroom VIII is infinitely easier if you use Master Form instead of Wisdom Form. Still use the Thundaga strat tho.

Can confirm, using Wisdom form was some simpleton shit lol In Master form, first I halfway drained my MP before I began, and started out by spammed No. 8 with Thundaga till my MP was out and from there I just finished em off with berserk air combos It helped taking off any abilities that causes MP to restore faster too, like MP Haste

If I recall correctly, you can put an ether in your quick slots and set it to automatically refill from your inventory. If you have multiple in stock, you can use it more during battle. I might be mistaken though, it has been a while since I played

Huge tip for #8 I literally just got him a little bit ago he has no definitive route of approach but if master form isn’t cutting it keep the cursor over wisdom then leave that menu, waste MP (Curaga)right away, set donald and goofys setting to stick with sora’s target, also remove any finisher and extra arial attack moves beside the ole one two three punch, now my take is that there is a pattern the minute you first knock him in the air, horizontal slash but count each one on the fourth switch to regular but do it twice, so square four times X twice once you hit counts goes above 35+ switch the pattern to square, x, square square, x, x square and so one I used wisdom to get him just above the 85 just before the drive went out and was able to reinstate the pattern taking him to 99 dumb luck but considering #8 is Axel “Got it memorized?” Haha also this one you have to be flawless he gives you mercy in the beginning but anything over 30 you’ll lose that chance of recovery also Donald’s comet works great but be sure to use him to stop him from falling and don’t break pattern!

The Comet strategy didn't help me. It got me to 73, but that's the best I could get before it hit the ground. How are you so sure YOUR method works when every other strategy I've used so far didn't work for ME?

@@EntertainmentFan11cause I wasn’t relying on just comet, I used horizontal slash, I know its a lot but I broke down the pattern in my comment it’s an attack pattern using specifically that and so that it doesn’t finish or cap off too early, also try hearding him in the air against the towers walls as a way to gauge height, if you break pattern on the way down use wisdom (always use thunder first before shoot) and comet as finishers takes practice basically... it’s a tough approach though took me almost an hour of figuring

At least with the Rare Truffles in the first game, it's easy because if you screw up, there's still more in the area (when in Neverland). This, though? UGH!!!

Use final form, when you start the battle wait until reversal says quick spin or something and you're guaranteed to make #1 confused, then hit him once and repeat. Its all about timing

You have to delay hitting the triangle button at exactly when it glows, watch closely you can also only afford to be hit by him once maybe twice if that but otherwise don’t even bother continuing if he gets you more than twice

It takes some practice to perfect this, The thunders might be hard to lay down, but bare in mind that you can still shoot normally in between thunders.

it’s actually pretty good for munny / form grinding, use wisdom and just spam shoot, it gets to 50, gives you a tent and drive recovery. Sell the tent, use the drive recovery for form grinding rinse and repeat

Are you still stuck with the trash minigame? You have infite team so just push all the blocks in one spot. Then negative combo it once and it should be under five swings :)

Good grief, No. 10 is just like the Black Ballade in the first game. As if THAT Heartless wasn't already difficult enough, they pull the same crap with this one! Why?! Edit: Geez. Well, the Black Ballade strategy from the first game seemed to help a bit. If you're not good at that minigame, use that, but make sure you go to FPV so Sora's head doesn't block your line of sight, and aim the camera upwards a little in case that shroom moves high up while shuffling. And maybe DON'T jump unless the real one is on the far left or far right, since the Mobile Action ability will hinder your chances of getting it under 55 seconds if it's anywhere BUT in those spots. No. 8 is still gonna be a pain... Good frickin' luck tryna get 85 points if you're hoping to clear the Mushroom XIII sidequest.
