Also reversals II - Xigbar = Shoots projectiles like his III - Xaldin = Wind. Fly. IV - Vexen = When you fight him, he makes clones of Sora V - Lexaeus = Physically the strongest so you need to be strong to beat him VI - Zexion = has the attribute of 'Illusions' VII - Saïx = straight-out crazy. Berserk VIII - Axel = Google 'KH 358/2 Days Vacation' Since they are besties. IX - Demyx = Lazy. Comedic. X - Luxord = Gambling. The way i did Mushroom VIII was Use Master Form with Berserk charge or Fatal Crest and Before touching the Mushroom using Curaga and Immediately beginning the duel. From there on you just attack it endlessly while following it's direction it ends up flying to. If anything is difficult about this method it'd be keeping Sora close enough to the Mushroom to keep him from not flinging the Mushroom too far to catch up too, and the camera will sometimes be in the opposite direction the Mushroom flew in. Otherwise I got 85 after 3 or 4 tries

Key_Of_Destiny47 for mushroom 8, many people's strategies are just fucking wrong. they don't work. I've tried literally all of the popular methods and it seems like you need to be incredibly lucky for any of them to work. I've tried berserk charge in wisdom, master, and final. I've tried berserk charge while using limits (comet, or trinity). Nothing works. with berserk charge in master, you will frequently miss an attack and then the mushroom drops like a rock with no chance of recovery. with limits, he ALWAYS gets knocked too far away when he's at like 60 hits. if you use the limits, they hit, but then it's impossible to get the last 10+ hits because he'll get knocked away again. The way I did it, and managed to get 99 hits with, is to NOT use berserk charge. You want wisdom forms' finisher. You spam Thundaga finisher(s) to get additional height at the beginning, and then spam away with the bullets. make sure you're a decent distance away too so the bullets have time to curve upwards. If you're too close, he will hit the ground during the few seconds where you can't shoot anything after the finisher. you may need at least 1 finishing plus this mushroom is still pure bullshit and I failed multiple times redoing my strategy, but this has the highest success rate for me. The other ones wouldn't work for me even though I spent way longer trying. The key with this strat, is the distance. too close, and you'll miss too many and he'll hit the ground. too far away, and it's very likely the game will turn off your lock-on. If this happens, try to quickly move closer and start shooting again after locking on while moving back again

Ausar0 yes it is completely luck based, at any point the mushroom can just slide just beneath you moving his hitbox just out of your reach. But I think the most efficient method to beating this mushroom is to use the comet strategy to keep it in the air. Just keep it low enough for your attacks to hit it and you should be fine. Its the most consistent method I've used so far.

for mushroom 8 i found that going valor form instead works well because the basic aerial attack closes the gap between you and the mushroom very quickly and allows you to keep attacking the mushroom and even reach the maximum amount of hits.

Mushroom XIII's all difficulties! 📊 2:22 I (1) - Easy, Just use final form 4:49 II (2) - Pretty Easy, just use Reflega a LOT. 5:58 III (3) - Easy, just have some Draws equipped. 7:58 IV (4) - Eadium, Pretty easy but sometimes the Mushrooms spawn on you. 9:15 V (5) - Pretty Easy, just use Final Form or Limit Form. (use Fenrir!) 10:20 VI (6) - Eadium, for some players this may take 2 or 3 tries. Make sure to have lots of MP! 11:48 VII (7)- Very Easy, just use Reflega and Final Form! 12:52 VIII (8) - Very Hard, this one may take 10 minutes, or it may take an HOUR! Good luck. 18:03 IX (9) - Eadium, Pretty easy; but sometimes the auto-aim breaks and you have to restart. 19:01 X (10) - Medium, i have to rank it this because he said "I'd say that this Mushroom is Medium in difficulty." at 19:26. 20:11 XI (11) - Eadium, for some players this may take 2 or 3 tries. Make sure to stay at a medium distance from XI. 21:26 XII (12) - Easy, Just use Wisdom Form and make sure to Lock On! 22:42 XIII (13) - Super Easy, All you have to do is press🔺. A better way to deal with mushroom 5 is to equip fenrir and decisive pumpkin for the highest attack, equip a bunch of potions to reduce the cost of this method, then go final form and spam items next to the mushroom to kill it in under 3 seconds

This was super helpful. Still relevant even in 2022. Also, that mushroom in front of the tower really is the worst! I ended up using the horizontal slash + clutch wisdom form strat, but instead of using cure to start, I would use thunder like you suggested in the master form strategy. I actually managed to get 99 this way too (admittedly with a bit of luck - got my wisdom form shots off in time, and he got stuck on a wall so I could get the last few hits). Seriously great video. +onesonicguy The strategies explained here for #8 aren't consistent. The best way to do it is to have berserk charge enabled, go into wisdom form, pluck the mushroom, spam thunder until your mp is drained then spam the attack button. Once your mp is recharged spam thunder again then spam attack.

that doesn't work either. At one point your MP will get too low to cast thundaga but not low enough to initiate Beserk, so when you hit thunder you just get the buzzer noise but you still have like 3 MP.

***** no, any spell can be cast regardless of how much mp is left. The buzzer noise is only ever initiated once mp recharge has begun

me too. he keeps going invincible for me much more quickly than in this video. most of the time he's invincible after 1 or 2 hits before i even get off my finisher. sometimes he's vurnerable longer but i'm not sure what i'm doing differently.

Mushroom 8...I've been at this for about four hours now. I tried this method and (literally) six others. I thought I was good at this game. Nope. One mushroom trumped hours and hours of what I thought was skill at beating the Data Org and the Absent Silhouettes. Anyways I found a way to do it after a few tries. This guy has an amazing walkthrough but his ways only got me to anywhere from 77 to 81 hits. Probably a skill issue but after going Master Form with Fatal Crest and Guardian Soul I got 95 hits on my fourth try with this method. Use curaga before pressing triangle for the unlimited combo and make sure to keep an eye on the left joystick. Sora tends to float away in the middle of combos. That's the main issue with the Master Form strategy. The mushroom actually stays in front of you the whole time during it. Now, i'm going to go cry in a corner. >__>

Some mushrooms are impossible on LV1 without Power Boosts.

Anti sora what you need to do is go wisdom form without berserk charge at the start empty lightning into it and then keep a respectable distance and shoot, i got it to 99 on like mt 5th try. The horizontal slash technique is super luck based compared to that one.

Christian Greene THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!! After three hours being stuck at 84 points (fuck my life), I tried your method. Still wasn’t easy until I found wich distance to keep with the mushroom and I also cornered him near the left entrance of the tower. Still depends a bit on luck but man feels good to get 99 once I could do it! I also kept berserk on for after the first round of lighting at the beginning as it has less chance of him falling as there is no end of combo. Anyways thank you! For Mushroom VIII, combine Berserk w/ Donald’s Comet. Although the Comet doesn’t add to the points, it keeps the mushroom suspended in air once it get out of Keyblade range. MP charge gauge has to be half way filled to combine the attacks.

thanks a ton for the help man couldnt have done it without this video. i actually beat mushroom VIII using a strategy i came up with utilizing as much mp haste as possible+ultima keyblade+wisdom form+thunder+berserk charge. spam thunder till you charge then keep him afloat with berserk wisdom shots and rinse and repeat. got up to 99 with that strategy.

Thank you very much for this video, and many others (Your Drive Level up guide, Ultima Weapon, etc.). First time player of the KH series and I've been going through the games one by one, and these guides really helped out a ton! For anyone like me who was looking to get the top tier mushroom weapons for Donald and Goofy (The Ultimate Mushroom Shield and Premium Mushroom Staff), the two Mushroom's I used to get the S-Rank were Mushroom 2 and Mushroom 9. Mushroom 2's Shield reflect game is pretty easy to S-Rank, as you just need to get 99 points to guarantee the Ultimate Mushroom Shield. Mushroom 9 is SUPER easy, and as such you should have no trouble Horizontal Slashing him 99 times to get the Premium Mushroom Staff. 5 is another fairly easy choice for the staff, but you need to spend time leveling up, or synthesizing gear to make it so you can kill him in 3 seconds, but this is costly and not time effective compared to 9. Good luck to everyone still working on these guys. It takes time, but you'll beat them!
