This kit allows any BOV with a 25mm port to be recirculated pretty much anywhere. Specifically we use this for the X3's and recirculate the charge tube kit's BOV to the air box. This kit allows you to reap the benefits of a BOV without listening to it recirculate. Some people love the noise of a BOV, some don't. For those who don't, this is the ticket! Our BOV's are 100% capable of being submerged in water, BUT mud can become an issue, so for the XMR guys or anyone looking to relocate, this is an awesome addition rather than running a breather hose off the BOV. This can be mounted anywhere to a flat surface and used for any turbo application! We provide 3ft of 3ply silicone, 25mm ID hose, this is high quality true silicone and NOT cheap radiator or vacuum hose!

So my question is, Why is it that when you're accelerating, the BOV is allowing boost pressure to leak through it, almost as if it were a wastegate?...the BOV is supposed ONLY allow the excess boost created once the TB closes and the Turbo continues to spin and make boost. But in this video, I noticed that how it pushed the water from the hose and it bubbled the water in the bucket indicating a certain boost leak!! As an ASE Automotive and Heavy Truck tech of almost 5 decades, it was a VERY OBVIOUS boost leak during acceleration and it's something you absolutely DO NOT WANT...you only want that valve to allow air/boost when the plenum "vacuum" increases on deceleration and then, through that tiny hose, it sends a high vacuum signal to the BOV and opens it...Please explain the reason for the boost leak... Thanks!

"acceleration" doesn't dictate BOV operation. Vacuum pressure does. Positive vacuum pressure closes it, Accelerating doesn't equate to positive vacuum pressure. Cant have a boost leak if its not making boost, that's why it bubbled in water. It simple... Boost pressure closes the valve, vacuum opens the valve. Nothing more, nothing less. There is no boost leak.

@@RPMPowersportsI understand completely how the BOV "shpuld" work and from what vacuum source it works from, BUT...again, why is there air coming out of that BOV while you're accelerating?...that valve should NOT be allowing charge tube air to go past it, unless you're decelerating, manifold vacuum increases and opens the valve to release the unwanted pressure...but until that happens, that valve should be tight as a drum and nothing should be leaking out of it...I'm awaiting your explanation...thank you!!

@@josesolis4505 Again, acceleration doesn't dictate BOV operation. Just because you're accelerating doesn't mean you're under positive vacuum pressure ( boost). . Vacuum pressure dictates operation. Air is coming out, but NOT under charge pressure ( no boost, no positive vacuum pressure... boost = positive vacuum pressure). a BOV requires NO spring or hat pressure, it can be 100% open until .00000001 IN.LB or positive vacuum pressure. Every Inlb of spring pressure increased to overcome -vacuum pressure is a IN.LB of pressure trapped in the charge tube when the BOV expels. " why is there air coming out", because that's the spring pressure we choose for our BOV.. tried and trued. drag race wins, baja top place finishes, and over 10k sold this way.

I like the bov sound but do a lot of mud. Instead of routing to the air box can I mount high up toward the snorkels and vent to atmosphere and just place an air filter over billet? Or do you have something different?

You can route it upward yes! Honestly with the filter we provide you can run it without routing it anywhere.

Can I mount the catch can I got from you up on the roll cage buy the shocks? We ride in creeks and the catch can would be under water if I mount it down where this one is. Where do you recommend to put the catch can? Thanks

BOV's only blow, the chances of getting mud in there are slim. BUT it would stick open and make no boost IF it did.

I have a good question for you guys I bought the bov for my 2021 x3 rr ds. What happens if i only use in light mud with filter? im more of a dry trail person

You'll be fine! We generally only use this for guys who dont want the sound of a BOV OR are bogging in the mud.
