Some great photography there, very atmospheric at Drumcondra. And I remember very well that agonising crawl into Antrim, as I was on board.

Really enjoyed that, particularly the sections along the old Antrim to Lisburn branch. Thank you. Paul

Great footage especially 131 with the bad adhesion on the antrim Branch. She has quirky little noises of her own when goiing slow, but she surely can coast respectively!

Pat Coen Thanks Pat, it's a very characteristic little loco and I'm looking forward to seeing it on a steam enterprise someday.

131 does Enterprise it will be poignant passing the spot where she was on a plinth for around 20 years. I remember seeing the bit in Rly Magazine about her initial relocation to Mallow! Must take a trip behind her someday and smell it's coal smoke and oil! Its a heck of an achievement reassembling and restoring it to running condition. I reckon a movie film or two might beckon for 131, also!

Superb footage Stephen love how Merlin was dragging to the cravens weather you like it or not your coming with and the diesel tour footage there was no bother to it
@irishrailtrains6 жыл бұрын
Joseph Newsome Thanks Joe, yeah I thought that was gas the way Merlin just forced the train to move even with a dragging brake.
@joeykn90146 жыл бұрын
Irish Rail Trains was a gas impression lol and for that disused Antrim branch the RPSI could have that as a preserved line same with the Dublin crowd could use the South Wexford line
@irishrailtrains6 жыл бұрын
Joseph Newsome it would be a brilliant idea Joe, but you just know yourself that it won't happen
@joeykn90146 жыл бұрын
Irish Rail Trains with typical logic it'll never happen the Antrim branch will be usage but the South Wexford line God only knows

Don't the sanders on 131 work when running tender-first then? Your poor old feller there had to scurry along next to it there putting sand down. She makes some interesting squeaky wheezy noises.
@irishrailtrains6 жыл бұрын
AndreiTupolev She does, it's a very characteristic little loco. It was surprising how bad the track was on the Antrim branch
