It was nice to see you reviewing this one Matt. The only Beach Boy that contributed in any meaningful way on this one was Carl Wilson. Plus Al's backing vocals. I could not believe that they closed the album with the Dennis classic Forever. Nothing against Stamos because I liked his version. But like Richie stated below, it just did not matter at this point in the proceedings. I still to this day have a hard time seeing Mike Love and Bruce Johnson calling themselves The Beach Boys. Way to go Matt~ Rob/Boston

​@@Chip8224 , This Mike love telling Brian Wilson stick to the formular. After the Holland, Mike love ruined that band. I mean did Bob Dylan stick to the formular and yet he was still popular.

Nice to see the review of this album. I was fortunate enough to get my copy a couple of years ago and now being almost complete on The Beach Boys who are one of my very favorite bands. Despite not being released at the highest point in the band's history I still find my enjoyment with listening to Summer in Paradise which I've always considered as a hidden lost album from the early nineties. If not anything else, it's a nice document from their "silent years", silent in terms of recording and releasing new stuff. I'd take anything from this band. Cheers!

Have this on CD too. Only got it just to own it. I really do not like the kokomo/ full house era of The Beach Boys. Though I’ll admit the only catchy song on here is Island Fever. Nice review

Good review. It's the only album I haven't heard. The cover reminds me of those mass produced pseudo hippie framed prints that were popular at the time: they tended to depict underwater scenes with a dolphin or whale, or they were mountain scenes with wizards and crystals. My girlfriend at that time was into those prints as well as dressing like a hippie and burning incense; we had an awful underwater print with dolphins on the wall in our apartment.
