Since July 23rd 1970, when he seized power from his
father, Sultan Qaboos of Oman has been carrying out
economic and social reforms whilst his British-
officered army has been fighting Communist-led
guerrillas in the mountainous Dhofar province. This
report shows both the war and the reform programme.

Rest in peace Sultan Qaboos, people accuse him of being too neutral but he did what he needed for his country. The people prospered and population grew.

As we see, the British created Pakistan and had access to the North wesrern frontier militants.. trsained by the British... been there a looooong time the Brits ;-)
