The Batman Forever map is hitting me right in the nostalgia. For the two-face thugs, if you want to match the style better, you could try the masked bane henchmen from arkham origins as a base. Still looks so amazing, I love the scenes. Can't wait when you get some sort of open world map.

Also, that Troika batsuit unlocked my nostalgia for that story, which was my first ever Batman comic that i read as a kid, and one which i remember fondly. Your work is always amazing. This is.. INCREDIBLE! The last map's music really hit me with nostalgia and the snowy weather looks insane in these graphics! If only we had an Arkham Origins remaster.. I can't imagine what a full on Gotham City would look like in these graphics and gameplay! But I also understand development on games I create games for a living so I know how long it takes and how hard it can be a lot to make masterpieces like these you should be really proud of yourself with your achievements in this project because this and the other videos you made are showing what great talent and skill you have not just as a game developer but as a fan of Batman as well Congrats on all the hard work! 👏

This is kind of a weird question, but have you ever thought about putting together a test map with as much verticality as Arkham City's version of Gotham? I recall hearing that Rocksteady initially tried to make a map like that for Arkham Knight, but gave up because it made traversal tedious. But even so, it's always been a dream of mine to see Arkham gameplay in a city as vertical and layered as AC's Gotham. Even as just a basic untextured blockout, I think it could be an interesting experiment for you to try.

The faces look fine to me tbh, although you gotta keep in mind that I'm never going for a 1:1 likeness on the movie skins, but moreso for a slightly stylised and natural looking interpretation while also adapting the likeness to a shared facial rig to save me some rigging-related hassles. I've seen a lot of people struggling to get out of that uncanney valley when recreating a persons likeness, so i'd rather take some liberties while focusing more on making the face look credibly human lol.

How about changing the timer from outright ending the challenge to just disable enemy spawning?

It'd be kinda bad for comparable results tbh, since the enemy spawning happens in waves so you could artificially inflate the time you have that way

I see that you're using the arkham knight enemy ai where thugs can charge batman. Afaik, they can also grab him, did you remove that? Looking forward for more vids

Thats far from the only way to animate and keyframe animations are probably still the most common in gamedev, and I for my part am using most animations from the original arkham games after manually converting them to be usable in the way I want.
