RS Drums Monarch & SubMission Audio ShinzBass - Full Mix Demo

Here is something a little different from what I usually upload. During Black Friday sales in 2024, I picked up RS Drums Monarch and Submission Audio ShinzBass. After playing around with the drums and bass samples for a little while, I decided it would be fun to do something a little different for content on the KZbin channel. This is a full mix demo of what the Monarch kit and ShinzBass sounds like in a full mix. The Monarch Kit is set to the Metal Prog 5 preset with a little bit of compression on the channel. The ShinzBass is just the DI setting with a little bit of compression on the channel. The keyboard sounds are all stock VSTs in Logic Pro X. Drums, bass, and keyboard were all sequenced and programmed be me. I am playing an Ibanez RT450 with all of my sounds coming from Neural DSP Archetype: Petrucci X.
About the song...
The song used for the demo is called Butterflies. It's a song I co-wrote with my college band, Over Legend. Over Legend was a Boston-based progressive rock band comprising of mostly Berklee students like myself. This band was heavily influenced by Dream Theater, which should be obvious when you hear the song. To give credit where credit is due, the other co-writers of Butterflies are Sean Dusoe, Young Lee, and Travis Shore.
