Nice video as always! Just a note: Those speaker connectors are not proprietary, they are DIN 41529, a standard commonly used at that time.

The bass patches are surprisingly good. That filter chip is a good one.

What i've done with mine is branching of 5v and gnd and add a whole lot of pots. then send the voltages to the asdr, filter and resonance. I've also added a switch to change the asdr to filter or amp. Really neat chip indeed.

I quite like the sounds of this one. They're nothing too exciting but there's some heft and atmosphere I wouldn't expect at that price point. I feel like they'd sit well in a mix and each serves a very practical function. If modded to add more real time control would be a fun device... Plus you get a free Linn Drum as a bonus! My first synth was a kawai k3 which did the digital analog hybrid thing so I have a soft spot for these kinda things

They're genuinely fantastic. Notes harmonise in a way that feels good, it's an underrated facet. Possibly the best trumpet sound since trumpets.

So this man not only has extensive knowledge of the inner workings of the old gear he's reviewing, but can also play them in technically and musically interesting ways. Can't really ask for more then that, good job sir. Loving this format of content btw, I got hard into the Kleinanzeigen keyboard game late covid until I filled up my studio corner. Might have to start making more room.

Ooh, been trying to find the desktop module version of this, the MR250, looks great in a small form factor!

The MR is a pretty freaky unit. From what I understand it is a two part unit, rack and separate panel for controls. Would be awesome for modding 🤩

I have two. Where in the world are you? There's way more bass tones and you can sequence more instruments simultaneously.

Hammond drawbars, Yamaha 'flippers' on the Electone organs… They all operate "upside down" in a sense. Doesn't make it any less silly in this case though :).

With some good FX-processing this keyboard can sound quite nice. But with a modern synth doing all the classic synths, it isn't necessary anymore to buy a seperate keyboard for these sounds.

Well you don't need oldtimers with modern, effficient and safe cars, but still they're often a lot of fun 😁

Well & creatively done. Then a satirized, simulated video game at the end might've certainly been relatively strenuous I guess.

It's an actual real and playable video game! 😜 But yes, the work poured into it was a bit over the top...😅 There are a few minor tweaks it still would need, but if I find time I will polish it a little more and release it for you to play yourself
