Thanks for sharing this bodacious "blast from the past" with us ! This was a very popular police procedural series in its day (ran from '54 to '60). Wonderful to see veteran character actor Joe Turkel as Paisley, the leader of the gang. He would go on to appear in four film classics : "The Killing", "Paths of Glory", "The Shining" & "Blade Runner".

This has to be the best series of this type ever made for realism, the acting is faultless . I am 78 years old and thought I had seen them all.

With grim grandfatherly Warner Anderson as the lead and tough Tom Tully as the muscle . This shows the some of the gruel quality of tough police interrogation in the The Lineup, the signature of this series . Lack of comedy relief shown in Dragnet . Filmed by Desilu Productions Inc for the CBS television network.

Pier logistics of the cultivation of police work publicized overtime would increase from this more simplistic presentation to the power of what and how time altered the revelation of police and their occupation. Even to the time of police woman. Somehow this time almost seventy years ago holds a nostalgic power🏳️🌈👍

Oh yeah, I remember those shows...a cop show and what, a WW II bomber pilot series? Gosh, next we'll be talking about Hogan's Heros, The Great Escape, etc - all those shows had their role in the cold war....strange to think about them in that viewpoint now....

Why is it that anything that is posted from this channel has such an AWFUL copy quality? The picture is so blurry that it’s almost impossible to recognize the facial features.

This is pretty much what’s out there. These are old telecasts that were not preserved as ideally as one would like. Most probably transferred to DVD from old VHS tapes that people had recorded directly from local TV stations airing these shows in syndication. Feel free to watch them on another channel.
