While Saban went looking through every play thinking and strategizing how to win every play. @@mvp_drake6334 Ed O made the right hires at coordinator and with Joe Brady and recruited well. He let them do their thing and it got LSU a title. All three of those coaches are gone, along with the entire team that brought him to a championship. Can he replace those coaches and utilize the talent he recruited? Or will he be like Miles and never do jack shit the rest of his career? Going .500 the very next season is not a good start. We'll see, though.

4:45 I remember this game: 2012 SEC championship game. If Conley would've just let the ball go, Georgia would've got one more (and probably a better) shot at the end zone. That's 100% on Conley for catching it.

The Iowa one was mind-boggling. They were all set up to get the first down and then a quick spike. Everyone was in position and then, for some reason Iowa uses their last time out. What makes it even worse is that they were coming out of a time out on the previous play. All of this should’ve been arranged ahead of time, and there is no excuse to have any confusion in that situation. Not to mention the quarterback completing a short pass inbounds on the next play, where it was unlikely the receiver would be able to get out of bounds.

You need to show the lead up to the LSU-Ole Miss play, on 3rd down LSU was sacked with 27 seconds left and then let the clock run down to 9 seconds before calling the timeout, which was the real huge blunder of that scenario
@Miki-xo9nl2 жыл бұрын
That’s deference from baseball, in which a team doesn't lose a game until it gets 27th outs.

8:11 This was not a clock management fail. You can see Bielema was waiting to see if Michigan State could get set up in time before he called the timeout. Sparty was clearly ready to kick the field goal before he called it.

yeah, not as terrible as the commentators made it seem. MSU was already lined up for the FG and had 12 seconds to settle down and kick it
@TheAndyk1232 жыл бұрын
@@kmir224 Yeah, and it left 7 seconds on the clock after the field goal. I assume Wisconsin lost the game anyway, but at least it gave them a chance to touch the ball again. With no timeout, he kicks the FG with 2 seconds left on the clock and the game is over.
@bluesilver12 Жыл бұрын
I think the rationale is that Michigan state was rushing to get the field goal off therefore more prone to make a mistake and/or miss the kick. With Wisconsin taking a timeout, Michigan state has more time to calm down and be prepared. Sometimes trying to ice the kicker has the opposite effect.

Should be noted on that last clip of Tennessee stopping LSU at the goal line, Vols got called for too many men on the field so LSU got to run one more play. LSU won that game.
