I can relate to that story where she blanked out on stage. 16 years ago when I was in 4th grade... I chose to participate in a talent show & play guitar along to a song. And as soon as the track started playing, I immediately blanked out & after about 12 seconds, I just turned around and walked off stage. Brutal childhood memory 😂

Woof that’s rough. I had a talent show fail near the same age. I’d taught myself some basic piano playing by ear, no lessons. I learned a simple version of a song from Beauty and the Beast. The girl who followed me played the exact same song. But yeh know, with actual skill and training.

Get after it girl, keep skating. I've learned alot from skateboarding. Pushing my courage and skill against real danger. Taking slams and falls in front of everyone and brushing it off. Getting some real injuries and pretending they don't affect me. Skateboarding really contributed to any and all successes I've had in other areas of my life. Although I admit it has harmed me in some ways though. It made me naturally over confident approaching almost everything which sometimes blew up in my face. like I feel pretty stupid in hindsight about how ignorant, yet confident I was going into new shit but somehow I persevered.
