I really feel for Bobby. My last serious relationship ended more than 4 years ago and she was the love of my life. The relationship took a long time to end because it was so codependent. I still haven't even considered dating anyone else.

Don't focus on the dating part. Focus on getting out and talking to other people. The dating part will come naturally but only if you don't close off that part of your life.

This is one of the best interviews you’ve done in recent memory. Bobby Lee is awesome. The breakup hits home for me buddy - good luck and stay strong.

Is splitting up but still living together, sleeping in the same bed, and everything is exactly like it was before known as a "California breakup"?? Doesn't work that way in places I've lived

Great interview, thanks Ryan. I can't remember hearing bobby being this clear headed about these topics. It is a sad time but it makes me happy to know he has so much focus and understanding these days. onwards and upwards mr lee.

I am a human woman, and what bobby describes is my ideal relationship- I would be so happy with someone who wants to do their own thing, go out to eat sometimes, and just lets me live - and I know that sounds like a 'friend" but it is a different level

Those of us with untreated PTSD caused from our primary caregivers make relationships as an adult almost impossible.

Do you function as an adult in other situations? If so stop using that as an excuse. Just admit you're a f*ck up like Bobby does. If you can function in less meaningful situations you should be able to put effort in for a relationship.
