Depends what you are trying to do. For gov jobs its required. For corporate, most of the candidates will have it plus experience. It matters way more in 2024 then it did in 2021.

Really depends what you want to do and what industry you are going to. It can vary a lot from understanding the ins and outs of software, to ID processes, evaluation, front end analysis, project management, etc.
