I knew a guy like this. He was one of the types who said he'd "rather be thrown clear". And this guy was an engineer who had (presumably) taken and passed physics. He was killed in a head-on collision while not wearing his seat belt. I always wonder if he had time to wish he was wearing his belt when that other car came around the curve in his lane.
@MK-133375 жыл бұрын
If you get in a head on collision and don't have seatbelts on one of two things happen 1) you are on the front seat, you fly through the windshield (even though those are tough af a human goes through one like a hot knife through butter) and your head will crack open like an egg either on the curb or the incoming car 2) you are in the backseat which means you will kill yourself AND at least seriously harm the person in front of you

Was in a car accident where we hit them going 55 cuz they ran a stop, bruised stomach, that weird surface cut/scrape where the belt pushed into my fat, and the chest belt knocked the wind out, there was so much force on that belt think, my phone on my lap was found on the passenger side floor and all the shit in the car was pushed/pulled forward, if I wasn't bucked in I probably would have torpedoed forward and killed my brother in the passenger seat I front of me, I much rather have a bruised stomach than a dead twin.

To the last one: I have expressed to any of my older family that they should just spend everything they have to make their lives the best that is possible! They don't owe anything to anyone. I have done this out of earshot of others as I do know that some family are just waiting for their inheritance. To anyone and everyone: Don't live a life in misery because you want to leave an inheritance. If anyone is reliant on you dying to survive, they have not lived their life responsibly and you deserve what you have earned much more than they do. Society will take care of them one way or another in any case and they will have opportunities that you never had in the past.

That story about the seat belts hit hard. One of my cousins broke his neck and died in a crash where every other person involved didn't even get a scratch. His mom never instilled seat belt safety into him.
@Spartacusse5 жыл бұрын
6:59 "Why fire him?" R - Security reasons probably. In most cases, in order to code, you need to see the rest of the code, so the company probably knew they could outsource to India, if they were paying a premium for one of you entitled First Worlders to do it, they probably didn't want it leaving the company.

I heard of a guy who was so sick of his family bickering over their inherence and waiting for him to die that he created a points system for how much they helped/took care of him in his final years. There were points for everything: calling, visiting, helping around the house, running errands etc. His inheritance was divided among his family with more points meaning a bigger percentage of the funds. Almost all of it went to a niece and a family friend, because they were the only ones to visit and care for him.

Did you know: seatbelts save lives. In a crash unbelted people can fly through out the car causing more lethal deaths. Click it or Ticket or Casket Edit: yeah that Great Uncle deserved that fancy funeral, I wish I knew him because that would be a cool gruncle
@HUMC4L5 жыл бұрын
Cue idiots screaming about the 4 and a half times seatbelts have either directly caused death or not wearing on prevented death. My grandpa is one of those that would have died if he used a seatbelt, just in case someone wants to scream that I'd change my mind if I experienced the wonders of no seatbelt lmao

Not really. Sending what was supposed to be your work to an unknown random in India is extremely dangerous, especially if it's coding. You're basically giving away the entire blueprints to your company's private code to an outsider who has no loyalty to the company and could potentially use against it.
