The Western Dedicated Freight Corridor or WDFC is a 1,506 km long, under-construction broad gauge freight corridor in India. It will connect Dadri in Uttar Pradesh (near Delhi) with Jawaharlal Nehru Port in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. The corridor is being built by the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), a public-sector unit (PSU) under the Ministry of Railways and would be electrified with double-line operation. The Western DFC entails a new single-line branch from Prithla in Palwal district to Tughlakabad in Delhi, running parallel to the existing New Delhi-Faridabad-Palwal railway line.
The Western DFC is exclusively for transporting freight at higher speeds with increased load carrying capacity. The main freight commodities include fertilizers, food grains, salt, coal, iron, steel and cement. It uses Flash Butt Welded head-hardened (HH) 250 metre long rails with axle load capacity of 25t on tracks and 32.5t on bridges, compared to the existing 22.9t to 25t axle load used on Indian Railway tracks. The line will support freight trains reaching 1,500 m (4,900 ft) length, pulled by high-power WAG12 electric locomotives and running at speeds greater than 100 km/h (62 mph). The tracks will be entirely grade-separated and have a generous loading gauge of 3,660 mm (12 ft 1⁄8 in) width and 7,100 mm (23 ft 3+1⁄2 in) maximum height allowing for the double-stacked shipping container on flatcars to be transported, in contrast to wellcars used in other countries for double-stack rail transport.[2] This allows for single trains to have a 400-container capacity. Trains will have radio communications and GSM-based tracking - a first in the Indian railway sector.
The Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (Eastern DFC) has a 46 km long branch line, that connects Khurja in Bulandshahr district on Eastern DFC with Dadri in Gautam Buddha Nagar district on the Western DFC. The Western DFC, along with the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, will be a vital backbone of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). The Western DFC will cross the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway at 2 places in Haryana: Sancholi village (Gurgaon district) and Paroli village (Palwal district).

IMT Manesar is measure industrial area on delhi - jaipur highway We need more industrial area in Sohna side because it have direct connectivity form delhi mumbai expressway, DND, Western perephal and WDFC In future noida international airport also. Sohna becomes prime Hotspot for future FDI inflow in delhi. After gurugram, noida, feradabad, Ghaziabad.

The location where the bridge is building a not that easy to build any infrastructure that too chenab bridge so its requires lots of work before building any thing. Good Things take time early things is scam like Early Expressway which show quality just in couple of days after modi ji inauguration. and he did just to show case and gather some votes.

Hi, you have been doing a fabulous job of keeping everyone updated about the new infra projects happening in India. I really love the way you make your commentary on the subject. It shows how passionate you are about the growth and development of our country. Keep it up! Just one little query; why did they made this stretch on a trence why did they not make it at the ground level and maybe make tunnels and bridges where required.

What I can infer from the video is that railway has to pass across KMP expressway.. so you will either need a ROB or underpass.. so I think they went for underpass..!

@@HarshitMishra89 I get the point but for an underpass, they did not have to extend the length to what it is actually shown in the video. Because of this extended length of the underpass, construction of the tunnel and few bridges were also required which is just extra expenditure which could have been avoided. So I believe either an overbridge could have been thought of which would have been difficult considering the expressway is itself elevated but the underpass could have been a lot shorter than what it is right even considering the steep gradient to be very gentle throughout the underpass, the length could have been shorted quite a bit than what it is right now. So I am considering that there must be a third reason for having such massive earthworks.

@@sajushtiwari I agree bro. I'm not an engineer but I think they have tried to keep gradients very subtle to maintain speeds. Another reason I feel is that there are many other connecting roads there.. so they might have to raise ROB too high..!

@@sajushtiwari The trains are going down the slope from Rewari to Dadri, as you can see the tunnel is at a much lower elevation compared to road and on other side tunnel open up on viaduct which takes it furthur down the slope. So at grade level doesn't make sense as train has to go down the slope

Awesome , logistics cost will reduce and products will be cheaper and we can export also . So again everything electric and bye bye to petrol and diesel . Thanks to Rajan boss , great video and great views and great explanation . This is 100 times complex than expressway so each project is different and Govt is working on all projects and most of them are complex and many were only announced and many were only planned and many were only thought of , only this Govt does execution , baki sab Govt did bakwas . Good video but a few details were missing. You should tell us these things: What is the green material lining the sides of the cut? will it help in stabilizing the mud on the sides from rain and wind erosion? The New Tuaru station does not look complete. When will it be completed? 3) What type of access has been made to this station? Are there roads connecting it to the rest of the area? Have these been constructed? If yes show them/it. If nit what is the plan to construct them/it? Such details, if you can provide them in future videos would make your content even more interesting!
