It’s a fabulous mod. For me, AC just feels better to drive than ACC - not as wooden, more natural. So having this RSS collection increase made my day (alongside their retro drives of course).

In my case, if i want to do hotlap or trackday 100% AC, i play ACC only in LFM Servers.

Everyone should make sure to check out the updates to the M8 and Lambo by them, too. They feel so good, even in spite of the old AC physics engine. Really hope Kunos partners with these guys for AC2. The bar has been set.

There is just ONE thing that would set Assetto Corsa 2 apart from all other sims and make it INSTANTLY the best sim ever: Backward mod compatibility. I really hope Kunos will find a way to make that happen.

Not going to happen. It is easy to wish things, but in practice that is not possible. That said I'm sure Race Sim Studios will port their content over to Assetto Corsa 2.

a tough ask. Polygons count, physics engines, etc would just make it impossible. For instance, the new game would be constrained by older generation of physics, graphics engine, features, polygon counts, etc etc of current AC. There are obviously other game elements as well but these are what I can quickly think of. I'd rather Kunos come up with AC2 a completely new installment that still features endless mods possibility just like current AC, as it's what allows the game to age this well. It's a win win situation for all as Kunos keeps selling the game for a very long time, mods like RSS can sell their mods and make money, and we players keep getting endless quality contents. Now the only thing is if Kunos actually listens to players. And oh, please there be rolling start!

Another great video, Mike... I would like to make a suggestion for the agenda: a comparison between the physics of the AC1 with CSP and these new supercars from RSS and URD (Mercer and the equally spectacular Darche) and the physics of the ACC. A lot of people have been saying that these cars in the AC1 behave more realistically than in the ACC... more grip and connection with the tyres, more weight inside the curve... Even better weight transfer I've already read... I would like to hear your opinion on the subject. Thank you.

Nice one Mike: I was waiting for your take on the Mercer. The Lanzo is my go-to car just now, and I'm having fun trying to get it to go at least as fast as the Bayro 4, which was my previous favourite. The Bayro [Bayer] 6 is also a good mod, but I'm not a fan of the sound.

Great one! Still have Huracan as the most handy modern GT3 from RSS, but this is up there with their BMW M6. Wish we could get a feature to edit the dash cam.

Love this car!!! I have some questions for you tho. I love running custom championships and have the 3 GT M from RSS (I'm always on board of the Mercer) and complete the grid with the Gt3 GTE from the base game. Since the RSS pack have only Hard compounds and the others have S M and H, does this affect the experience? Or is there any way to have more compounds for the RSS GTM cars?

Its cool to have high quality gt3 in assetto corsa considering all the missing content in acc which is supposed to be the officially licensed SRO game. Its really sad that they have so much content missing in acc that ac works better as an sro sim

The AMG GT3 was *the* car that jumped the shark for me. The Z4 was never sold with a V8, sure, but at least that V8 was on sale in the M3 at the same time it was put in the Z4 GT3. And, when the E92 M3 went out of production, they retired the Z4 GT3 and switched to the M6 GT3. The 6.2l V8 in the AMG GT, however, has been out of production for years. Imo, it violates the spirit of GT3 cars being derived from current production cars and production engines. They should have forced Mercedes to run the 4.0l TT V8 like they did Aston Martin. That said, at least the sim version is brilliant to drive. 😁

Sorry that turned into a bit of an off-topic rant. Everything RSS releases is of such an unquestioned and universally-recognized qualitative standard that I didn't really have anything to add to the sim version of the car. 😅

Oh, that’s how I’ve felt about NASCAR for years too. There was never really a rule that the cars had to be from American manufacturers. It’s just that the cars had to use V8s. So, I never had a problem with Toyota being in the Cup series, but it was always weird to see them use the Camry which never had a V8 in the production car. Granted, NASCAR cup cars haven’t been true “stock cars” since the early 70s, but that term has lost all meaning in top-level stock car racing.

have you checked out the 296 gt3 mod by chemflummi? its pretty good, model is basically an acc conversion. Physics wise it is better than it used to be but still needs a bit more work

@@bruh6474The physics in almost all conversions are pretty poor in my experience. And the 296 is no exception. I drive cars in AC because I want to experience what they drive like. If it’s not accurate, it doesn’t interest me as much more than an AI to drive past.

It's fabulous. For me best gt3 car in all sim racing. Rivaled only by the Lanzo. But as said 100x times, just imagine how would for example an RSS Nissan r32 gt-r from early 90s feel? Or an rss bmw m1 procar?

The only complaint about the Mercer V8 is that in VR when the sun goes on the dash screen you can`t see anything anymore.

Even on my Logitech g923 I can’t rally w the formula rim. Unfortunately lost my center cap so haven’t been able to use the stock rim. And that’s at their 2.2 nm I can’t imagine 5+ on a dd 😅

I believe that Assetto Corsa has the best force feedback of any sim. BUT, the cars, out of the box handle terribly. I bought the free F1 cars from RRS. I also bought two of the GT-M cars, including this car. Amazing feel and handling. These cars can be driven well right from the download. Tweaking gets you additional performance. I love this thing also!

These will appear on racedepartment soon if they're not already there. RSS cars tend to get quality skins very quickly.

Lambo just simply got the EVO version. Look Audi or Mclaren ACC i think. these are EVO - 2 Versions. So Car - EVO version - EVO 2 Version.

You mention in the video, that because RSS can't use the "official" name for obvious licencing reasons - you should turn the M in GT-M on it's side........... so it's really a GT-E car then, Mike? ;P

I really wish RSS would do a GroupC/GTP pack or something. They’d kill it. I used to not like GT3 cars in sim racing but now I hate them. Yeah hate, a powerful word, a powerful feeling. Because sim racing is flooded by that content. Not just in games but every picture/video of someone’s sim rig on IG involves the same GT3 cars on the same tracks. I barely sim race anymore. It’s just boring these days.

This mod absolutely sucks. At least on stock setup. Understeers like crazy. Get the Bayro 4 GT3 on URD ... that is what a GT3 car should feel like.
