RSS does an amazing job of building individuals. I went to RSS Shakha before I started elementary school. I was 'Mukhya Shikshak' for two Shakhas (one in the morning and one in the evening, before and after my school day) for 3 years. I was the youngest 'Swayamsevak' of 55,000 (the number could be wrong) who had gathered at Pranta-Shibir at Talajai (near Pune) in 1982. There is a need to strengthen RSS further for the glory of India and peace in the world.

Great lecture.The name of the organisation tells a lot about the organisation. 1) Rashtriya-Love for motherland,Rashtra is taken from Rig Vedic verse when barely civilisation started in other parts of the world, 2) Swayam-Inspired to work for the feeling of oneness out of love and not out of force 3) Sevak-Seva has been their biggest aim in times of natural and man made calamities.In the modern day world,when the near and dear ones in a family do not own up sometimes in need of help,their Seva is above the sanctum of words.

Their iconic uniform (which has luckily been changed) - the khaki shorts and white shirt was a laughing matter to most Indians. RSS is doing great work at many places, but largely, at ground level, nothing is working. Children go to Shakha, but they don't have the spirit for matrubhumi and it's people. And these children don't have any discipline, are copying western societies, have no humanitarian feelings and no love for the country. They come to Shakha to cut cakes and celebrate birthdays, talk about latest online games and web series and mouthing expletives. There's no national spirit. It's in a pathetic state.
