I bought a pair from Sportsbikeshop and I don't usually do reviews, especially on KZbin but I was so impressed that I had to. As always fantastic service from Sportsbikeshop 👍🏻

I will add something very important...not every one describe the stuff proper. 1-I own rst tractech evo R in XS and the fingers are long and the material is very stiff when they are new. 2- i tried FEW , not only one pair of the new evo 4 and i noticed some important changes to compare with the previous generation. - S size fit me PERFECT in this new generation - XS and S size is almost the same PALM size,only the wrist is a bit larger in S and the the upper end of the glove(the one with the velcro) is a bit larger and longer in S size... The problem came when i tried WHITE color,same size...same glove,guess what? The fingers were longer than the yellow and army colors. Strange... I think RST still need to work on details...is not "there" yet. Other then this i noticed the leather palm is much more softer than the previous generations...very very good feeling wich is great !!

Most importantly how do they fit and can I trust the size guide?
@sportsbikeshop8 ай бұрын
We've got a lot of customer feedback on these gloves and that suggests the size guide is accurate. I found the gloves had wide entry points at the wrist, which made them easy to put on, but meant a more relaxed fit on my weedy wrists. I hope that helps. Cheers, Tony

How are these in the summer? Do the vents work well?
@sportsbikeshop3 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delayed response - there's perforation behind the knuckle armour to bring in some cooling air. They're not the most ventilated gloves available, but I would say they will still perform very well in summer. Thanks for getting in touch. Cheers, Tony

Good for sports touring in your opinion?
@sportsbikeshop2 жыл бұрын
If you know it's going to be dry then yes. If not, gloves with a waterproof membrane would be useful for touring. Thanks for getting in touch and I hope that helps. Cheers, Tony

how would you size it?
@sportsbikeshop3 жыл бұрын
I'd say they're generously sized so if you sit on the cusp of two sizes then go for the smaller of those two sizes. Thanks for getting in touch and I hope that helps. Cheers, Tony

This glove looks decent but I feel that RST's description (parroted by almost all online retailers) is quite misleading. From your website: "these gloves feature a CE level 2 carbon knuckle protector for impact protection." Although this is technically accurate that the knuckle armour may have passed the impact attenuation requirement of level 2, it sounds like this is a level 2 product if you don't have a knowledge of CE EN13594. RST's website is very misleading. In the main description it says, "the glove features a CE Level 2 Carbon Knuckle Protector for impact protection." Then further down: CE Certification Rating: 2 KP This is incorrect, misleading and probably illegal. There's no such standard. There are few (if any) level 2 gloves and there's no LEVEL 2 KP. All level 2 gloves require knuckle protection. So a shopper might be disappointed to find out that the glove is just LEVEL 1 KP. Just passing a knuckle protection standard is one of many safety tests and probably the least important. Impact abrasion, cut, seams and tear tests are much more important. Why are there so few level 2 gloves? Well, experts say the gloves can't or don't want to pass the seams test. Of course it's possible but with so few manufacturers being safety minded, there's no motivation.

Dangerous flaw!! Just bought a pair and I'm returning them! The Gloves look and feel great but for some ridiculous reason RST have seen fit to elasticate the glove around the wrist closure strap so that the gloves just slip off your wrist when fully closed. These gloves will easily be torn off in a crash! What a disappointment. Buyers beware and make sure you can't pull the glove off your hand!!

Having looked at these gloves following your comment, I'd agree that they're not as secure around the wrist as other race gloves. This isn't something that I noticed when wearing them for this review. I don't think the elastication is to blame for the loose fit, though. We tried these back-to-back with another pair of gloves, which also have elastication across the wrist, and those were far more secure on the wrist once done up. In my opinion the loose fit is down to the Evo 4's wrist area being very wide in relation to the overall size of the glove, the wrist strap not being long enough and also the wrist strap being located too far forward on the glove. If you want gloves that are easy to put on and take off, these are ideal. If you want them to be very securely fitted to your wrist then these are not ideal. I'll be letting RST know what your comment has uncovered. Thanks for getting in touch. Cheers, Tony
