Wow hit it right on the nose on that release been working on the gun release and its very hard to master and laying the ball down right at the line index finger down toward the lane stright down not easy at all But you make alot of sence not really needed a release like that on a house shoot thanks great vid.

I have to ask, does your commentary on the elite release (where you get the ball into the lane while un cupping and un cocking the wrist) imply that if you can achieve such a release consistently, you should? Perhaps practicing that release with a one step drill or just a foul line drill to learn it would be a good idea. For someone who has a basic release down quite well, would learning that release be a good idea if they want to improve their versatility?

nice bowling videos, ive been watching quite a few of them just to compare what i know to what youre saying. your advice on the "world class release" seems to be questionable to me tho. i never tried to consciously get a lot of wrist action but i love watching high rev guys (mike fagan and dom barrett being my 2 favorites) and just by understanding what they do i developed that type of release while i was still a 180 ave bowler but since i could do it, it made it easier to practice and perfect

The load to unload release is easy to achieve. It's more consistent than turning the fingers 1/4 turn to get more revs. Just take baby steps practice just at the foul line than a one step etc.

No Kriengsak, he understands it fine, but he doesn't recommend it for amateur bowlers. The guys who use the modern release he talks about that uncups and tops the ball is fine for very talented pros bowling 100+ games a week. For the rest of us dudes, simple is good and should be enough to make a good league bowler. By all means imitate Rash or Fagan or Jones, they are great bowlers, but for consistency and a shot that will work on most any condition a Duke or Williams shot is better.

I think you're not keeping your hand behind the ball. My friend had a release similar. Your wrist might not be strong enough to support a lot of cup and cocked position. Cause' if you look at any of the great bowlers releases, their fingers arent on the side of the ball their still behind it. There was a video on here that explained it perfectly I'd site it if i could find it again...
