Comments: If anybody wants to actually grind this out, please hit me up, I'd love to explain my strats and see this done with 0 save states. 00:32 This use of net punches is really neat. 00:54 These note blocks never seem to let me through. 02:30 I'm so glad that giving the p-switch positive x-speed makes getting it into the wall less framerule dependent. 03:12 This clearly works and it gives you free stuff, so it has to be right. 04:10 I considered eating the p-switch from the left, but that would require Yoshi flight, so here we go again. 05:20 If you spawn a fish here, the shell gets the wrong sprite slot and you end up stunning a light switch. Trust me, you don't want to do that. 05:50 Red shell? No problem, we just need to a thing again... 06:52 Even though this part is not that bad, it's still super stressful, as it's one of the few things you only get 1 shot at. 07:22 I'm really glad I didn't fall into this 1 tile hole here. 09:31 I made a single save state here and ended up loading it 21 times until I got the end. Given that it took me around 30 minutes to get here, this would mean 11 hours of grinding, which I just don't feel like doing. You have to ditch yoshi on the first try (without ditching Mario too), get the 5 tile jump on the brown block first try and get the Yoshi clip reasonably quickly to spit the fish in time. I found an ok strat for the later, but the former two are still annoying. 09:55 Ay, it's a fish and not a light switch.

Sure, I'd love to see it, here are some notes on my strats: 0:39 Spin jumping has a chance of not scrolling the camera, depending on the spin framerule. During the whole route, I had to be very careful not to fall down this 1 tile gap. 0:54 I'm bad at this note block clip, but maybe you can find a better setup for it. 1:34 If you forget to recycle the p-switch here, the Yoshi blocks will turn into brown blocks instead of coins. Happened to me a few times. Also: don't spawn a fish here, it will mess up the sprite slots. 1:38 You have to load in the baby yoshi egg to fill sprite slot 9. (the the light switches are in 8&7, p-switch in 6, so you get Yoshi in 5 & 4. 1:43 Tongue the p-switch as Yoshi turns invisible to store slot 6 on Yoshi's mouth. 1:49 I made sure the invisi Yoshi was where I expected it to be at, not sure if this is needed. 2:07 Walk into the wall, then walk 1 pixel to the right to get this unmount. 2:13 In the top row of Mario's hat, there is a single golden pixel and on the bottom of the ceiling, there are two slightly brighter brown pixels. The gold pixel has to line up with the right one of the two brown pixels. Then just mash B until you mount Yoshi. (Don't mash A, as you can re-dismount, clip into the ground and die.) 2:18 Here you can either walk off and hope you mount Yoshi (which can't kill you), or jump to always mount yoshi (which kills you if Yoshi is at its lowest position in the jumping animation). 2:28 Make sure you don't fall into the pit on the left here. 2:30 Grabbing the p-switch as is moving right gives it positive x-speed . A achieve this by tossing the p-switch against the wall and then grabbing it. The positive x-speed makes up-tossing the p-switch into the wall less framerule dependent. (0 x-speed = frame rule dependant and you need to be wall-clip-deep inside the wall, >0 x-speed = always works if wall-clip-deep, frame rule dependant with 1-pixel-less-than-wall-clip-deep). The up toss is frame perfect, but can be 2 frames if you are wall-clip-deep and have a good framerule (with >0 p-switch x-speed). 3:06 Face right, then alternate long scrolls to bring the p-switch through the wall while keeping the camera far enough left not to despawn the feathers. Note: If the first scroll is bad, you can usually stop and get a 2nd try, so this works 3/4 of the time. You could try to pause and unpause during a bad scroll, which has a 50% of negating the scroll, but my pause button was too far away. 3:47 You really want to stop scrolling as soon as you get capes. Then do the same scrolling strat to get the p-switch back to the right. Once again, if the first scroll is bad (=p-switch goes left instead), stop and try again. I think you get 2-3 tries before the p-switch falls onto the note block, which is game over (aka. only saveable with some stupid Yoshi flight I can't do). 3:48 Scroll the p-switch right a few times so you can afford it potentially moving to the left when you collect a cape or do the later scrolls. 4:12 Same scroll strat. Mario's left hand has to be higher so he's facing right. Here you get a lot of tries to get a first scroll that moves the p-switch rightward. 4:45 Make sure you don't bonk Mario's head here. 5:13 Mario's right hand is higher = he's facing left. Cape smash to turn the cape block into a brown one. 5:18 Don't spawn a fish here, it would mess up the shell's sprite slot, so you would end up stunning a light switch. 5:48 I had an audio queue for when to cape smash. 5:54 Same scroll strat. But now you can just re-do the cape smash if the shell falls onto the note block. 6:46 After making the invisible Yoshi run, you have to land back on it. My strats was to hold left+B+X, let go of B once I'm on the cloud, briefly release X before I land on Yoshi and hope I can catch the shell without hitting the invisi Yoshi again by accident. Note: If you land on invisi Yoshi but fall into the pit, you can hold right & press A to unmount and save yourself. Just make sure you're not moving left too much, otherwise the invisi yoshi can fall into the pit. 7:39 Scroll left right after dropping the p-switch so the new p-switch won't spawn in just yet. 8:04 Climb all the way left, scroll all the way left, then scroll all the way right to spawn a new p-switch in the right sprite slot (8?) 9:10 Make sure the camera isn't too far left, otherwise the light switch might mess up sprite slots? 9:16 Spawn two fish (slots 7&6). Make sure you actually cape spin them (100 points, not 200 points) to set their stun timer. (You only need to cape spin the second one (=slot 6), but they can be hard to differentiate). 9:21 Press the p-switch to free up sprite slot 8, otherwise the light switches on the right will overwrite the fish you just set up. 9:35 Make sure the p-switch runs out before you eat the shell! 9:45 This clip is annoying. My strat is to hold down+left and do B,A,B,A, then check whether I clipped. If you just mash A+B, you die more often than not. 9:49 duck before you jump to mount yoshi, otherwise you will die. 9:50 Pause to re-press X, so we're fast enough. 9:55 If Yoshi spits out a light switch here, you likely messed up some sprite slots along the way, most commonly by spawning fish when you shouldn't. 9:59 Climb all the way left, then climb back a bit to the right. You need to load in the light switch but not the net gate to fill sprite slot 8. 10:00 You will hear a "hit" sound from the reznor spawning. 10:05 If sticking out Yoshi's tongue doesn't kill reznor, you probably messed up the camera position at 9:59, so it didn't spawn into slot 7.

Thanks for the outline! You certainly put a lot of thought into every step. I think it'll be doable. I was definitely dreading having bad luck with starting the scrolls back and forth, but pausing to potentially nullify a bad scroll is a really cool idea I hadn't imagined, that would help the odds for sure.
