barbara F Hello, my mother was Mary Brady (her parents were Michael Brady and Ellen Harte Brady). I believe there were three different Brady families when they left the island in 1948. My mom came to the US in 1951. The two ladies in the video by the house with the names on the door are my aunts.

Hi Mary I enjoyed watching this (and I know phyl Foley who was featured). I'm particularly interested in the Irish language dialects of county Sligo and I know inishmurray was one of the last places it survived (Joe neilan was a speaker) do you remember the language being spoken by the older people or did your mother

My grandmother Agnes Heraughty was from there. I visited the island in 1997.

I put my hands on the cursing stones and then placed a curse on Rangers in 1997. The following season they won nothing, They work!!!! I remember going to my grandmother's house and taking a stone from it.
