You can't beat thoughtful engineering. Lovely bottle on the front, flip flop magazine and an adjustable trigger, that lovely anodised finnish also gives it a quality look plus a walther barrel so much to attract a potential buyer.

Ive the RTI priest 2 sub 12...never skipped a beat andy. Weirauch XL carbine silencer and JB3D butt hook makes it fit like a glove. Its the AK47 of air rifles. Simple..well made..easy to maintain and ultra reliable👍

@The Cheap Normie I have a lot of pistols, mostly co2 but I have 3 springers. A browning buckmark low powered breakbarrel, a powerful Turkish break barrel and Weihrauch HW45 which is a lovely gun and can be fired at around 2.5 ftlb or if you open it fully at around 5ftlb, I also have a Beeman version of the HW40 which is a very nice single stroke pneumatic pistol in polymer around 2ft lb and is a nice 10M target pistol.

I have a .22 FAC one and its accuracy with slugs is amazing (a lot better than what you showed) at 100m. an amazing airgun, with the right silencer.

So AGT Vulcan 3, Air Arms 510, KaliberGun Cricket 2 or RTI Prophet 2 ? All about the same price point and similar accuracy so it would probably be down to the “fit” of the gun to the user. I went to the Shooting Show last month fully prepared to buy an AGT but when I shouldered a couple I found them not to be as comfortable and ergonomically welcoming as the R12TH.

As you didn't mention an option of swapping over the side lever arm, I take it that it's only available fitted on the left side? Alas that would be a deal breaker for me. A lovely rifle though if a bit on the expensive side.

I wonder if one day we’re going to get dayglow orange yellow pink cherry red electric blue luminescent green etc , be a nice change from black black or black , unless you buy a laminate stock in red/black blue/black or zebra zone green/brown… come manufacturers give it a go , not all of us need tactical hunting style colour. That said I own the rti prophet mk1 and I fitted a silencer to it, it sounds like a powder puff hitting a cushion 😂 I feel like a hit man every time I pull the trigger 🤣

I've seen so many people complaining about the assisted valve in the prophet 2,prophet 1 hasn't got the new type valve and apparently it has no problems? Anyone had any problems

Yea must agree it won't win a beauty contest but if it's accurate, handles well and has a decent shot count what more does a 'real' shooter want from a gun? I have an s510 TDR which is not as pretty as other versions but performs just as well as any with fancy stocks. I find modern shooters are getting too wrapped up in looks and custom jobs instead of simply getting out there and shooting! Mind you I am a bit of a dinosaur. When I started shooting we didn't have things like butt pads or anti bear traps and if you'd mentioned 'stippling' I'd have told you to see a doctor! 😁 Great review as always Andy. 👍

The Prophet II is over-priced for its utilitarian design and valve reliability. There are many other options from FX, Brocock, and Airgun Technologies to consider first. If you do buy one, purchase from a near by dealer for easy service.

You are right about the valve problem. Although I do not agree on the rest, FX does not stand out for its reliability at all. AGT yes I like it a lot. Although Prophet 2's barrel is better to AGT's, and far better to FX barrels.

Not my cup of tea if I’m honest neither are the fx rifles that it’s running against. I have seen far superior grouping out of much cheaper rifles too. Granted it may need to be leaded in but then imagine how the other rifles will be once that have leaded in too. Still I’m sure it will appeal to some folk.

It's the UK so we have the choice buy the simple rifle or go through the hoops and get a pokey version of one. Personal choice. As far as RTI are concerned it has all the same costs no matter what we choose, they are just giving us a chance to own something nice.
