We often hope this because we want to see a silver lining but it's just not true. People show up as they are anywhere they go. This was a great conversation. There was a part of me that was wanting it to be longer. As a therapist, I’m not gonna say that Cam isn’t dismissive avoidant, however I think it’s important to ask questions related to every attachment before landing on one that’s most familiar. This helps reduce confirmation bias and allows for more robust conversation regarding all relational experiences. People show up differently in all relationships and sometimes we can focus on one relationship where the person was dismissive/ anxious/ secure and end up diagnosing too quickly.

@thealchemist33311 ай бұрын
Overall I think he may be a good guy with good intentions. I don't think he's as innocent as he plays, the way he treated Zadia at the reunion and I most def think he likes to promote his business whenever and wherever I think somewhere he equates how much love he'll receive and his personal value with his financial status. He seems to have a pattern of self sabotage in his most memorable relationships as far as being with a woman who is just as accomplished as himself. The creator/rapper and the tennis player. He was unsure of his value in the relationship since they seemed more successful at the time and assumed they would diverge, so he threw in the towel and let them know he wouldn't hold them back and for them to do their thing. So he bows out easily Neither woman knew they were so significant, because he didn't really show it or fight for the relationship as it crumbled. He was confused as to the emotional reassurance they needed, just like this interview. Anything emotional has a financial equivalent. He needs to get out of his head and into his heart Maybe him being an only child still has him in that space of not knowing how to share and enmesh his life and his partner's. He sees them as two bamboo growing together but individually. Anyone who tries to push a little further will be seen as a threat to what he has going on. His mother and father sound great as far as teaching their son to secure a future for himself financially. I believe that may have been so much a priority, that he doesn't understand becoming one emotionally with another. I don't think people have to paint Zadia as a loser or a bad person, because these two didn't work out. He's very complicated and doesn't see his repeated patterns or shortcomings, whereas Zadia now knows she needs to trust her intuition and keep it moving regarding unavailable men It's a learning lesson for both of them. I think it will take Cam losing someone he really loves and getting his heart broken, before he changes

@@ellecee8745Let's not pretend he wasn't giving mixed signals. He led her to believe he wanted the relationship, but that he was freeing her to date other men IF she couldn't play the supportive role he needed at this time when he needs to prioritize his business That is different from, I'm not interested in you, move on . So he played her, by saying he didn't want to end the relationship when she kept asking directly. It is easy for a woman to deduce, that if a man is trying to build a business and he is asking her to sit back and be supportive, she may do so. That is exactly, what he presented as an option to her So now, women should just ignore men who say that and move on. This is a good example of women needing to just follow their intuition and not follow the man's lead He should not have been on that show. Not only is he not ready to be in a relationship, but he has a pattern of repeating this same BS with other women. As he said initially, he's a serial dater or something to that effect and he truly does a bait and switch And yes, it's obvious him and Zadia weren't a match, but he needs to be held accountable as well. He's not the great catch that people are painting him out to be

Kojo, you don’t miss! Another great interview. One thing about Cam for me is, of course, he’s an attractive man and an intelligent man (which is even better lol). I wonder how emotionally available he is though. He doesn’t present as someone who taps into his emotional space much. To be fair though, we only know the edited parts of him we saw on the show and now this interview, which of course is a representation of his public image. In any event, I hope all good things for him and that even beyond the success of his businesses, his life is fulfilled.

Cam is not very good in articulating his feelings. He is uncomfortable with expressing his emotions. He is still dealing with his breakup.

I think he just processes his feelings differently...open relationships, etc...he's careful not to offend the audience I think... If he was fully himself most women would've bashed him...

Cam is intelligent with a huge blindspot which you pointed out Kojo. He said he wants to build up his value so that he can be valuable (even to women) but what he doesn’t realize is relationships aren’t all about bringing $$/ financial freedom to the table. He won’t bring any emotional value to any future relationship if he hasn’t spent this time accessing his feelings/emotions because he’s too hellbent focusing on financial security. Women need emotional security too.

I like Cam, but this was sad to me. He's never gonna be all in with a relationship until his finances are at a certain level. And I feel for whom ever that women is. Because if he's hit financially during the relationship, its like the "love" will go out the window!!

He wasn't into Zadia and her wigs and makeup . He's really going to fall for an Erykah Badu earthy chick with natural hair. I gurantee you Zadia was never his " type " and if you find his exes you will likely find they are natural sisters.

When people show you who they are and in this case SHOW & TELL you……. BELIEVE THEM‼️ I think SELF is most important to him in this season, it supersedes ANYTHING else. That’s great if you are NOT trying to be on a relationship but he came on the show he shouldn’t have done so in my opinion. Like one of the ladies said, they came open to the process and the men was just playing.

I’m not mad at Cam at all. I appreciate an intelligent man with substance and Not into the superficial aspects of a woman. And he’s upfront , honest , and humble enough to accept guidance and responsibility for his actions. I don’t see anything wrong with him personally. I enjoyed all 3 hours of this interview. Thanks Kojo.

Now that I know he's a ♑️, his behavior on the show makes sense. Once to much demands is placed on us, we gonna back up every time. It physically and mentally drained us and we mentally shutdown even if we show up in the physical. We plan everything ajead and once one thing (no matter how small) is out of order, we gotta re-plan to get things back in line. We don't present well but we have the best of intentions for ourselves and the people we allow in our space. Zadia is definitely not his person especially if she a ♊️ or a Cancer.♋️

Is he a Capricorn ? Hes giving strong Cap energy from the obsession with business to overthinking ..withdrawing and self sabotaging. I dont think Zadia gave him the " feels " like his ex who was a social content creator. He liked her as a temporary seat filler but she was never " the one ." Not a knock to her but thats why Kojo asked " does she give you the tingly feelings " his answe has always been NO.

Cam is too self-absorbed to build a life with anyone. It's all about his achievement, his businesses and that's it. He isnt gonna be loving on anyone anytime soon. He seems to think the greatest accomplishment in life is to work and make money the rest is optional and not that necessary.
