Absolute genius how youve set that small rig up to do the job on just TWO songs from a whole 2 hour set. I can imagine even in the earlier days, Geddy would have had a tech changing patches, he also had a lot more gear set up to do specific jobs throughout, youve had to consolidate a rig with lots of options into just 3 controllers. Just remembering where you've placed things is a feat in itself, hats off to you sir. Huge respect to Geddy for doing what he did but man, as much respect to you for replicating it in this way.

Cool video! Makes me appreciate the fact that Geddy pulled off Xanadu every night without any modern tech even more! I'd love to see a video like this for a few of the more synth-dense songs off Power Windows/Hold Your Fire.

Great video! This is an incredibly complex process! How do you remember all the keys that have samples, keys that have different notes, and all the other steps to do (and when to do them)? Do you often hit the wrong note for a sample? It would be interesting to see you MainStage audio path for the actual sounds. It would also be interesting see understand what VSTs you use.

Would you possibly consider doing a complete tutorial on how you effectively and efficiently set up and utilize your keyboards and your PK-5 Rolland pedals? There seems to little to no tutorials on how to fully utilize the Rolland PK-5's on the interweb "ANYWHERE!!!!' please help!!!

I would love to be in a rush tribute band and do stuff like this. Love everything that goes into these performances. Getting all of the patches and sequences must be a hell of a task. Power Windows had to be a doozy as far as that goes.

This is awesome. Yeah, the old school way involved more hardware (too much to be conveniently carted around these days). See a lot more scaled down setups with software like what you've setup here.

The sounds can come from any source. There are tons of free VSTs and programs out there.
