I think at 11:40 what Khalil is referring to is "operationalizing the skillset" So not just providing a general idea of what to do - actually going through the step by step to get the mechanics down that are specific to that situation Once you have enough mechanics operationalized over enough different scenarios, you can then start to provide more general instructions to that student because they understand without saying - and coaching becomes way easier the better skilled a player is, because all of the mechanics and the understanding of the mechanics are now there
