They are very capable of making a high quality animation and art style fight quicker than every 2 years lmao.

As I keep up mainly with the manga since growing up with the Naruto series. Not the biggest Boruto fan on some certain elements they use in the story. Regardless of what people think Kawaki as a character as of right now. I've got to admit, that the anime did justice on Kawaki's entrance. One of the coldest entrances to an anime character ever.

If anything that animation and art style is a tease for what we will see in the time skip. The art style this episode is very close to the Manga, we ain't returning to Naruto, this level of animation was beyond anything we ever saw in Naruto, in Naruto when animation got good, all the colors and lines would soften a little, animation studios have the technology now to have that crisp animation while having a crisp art style. Maybe I just said a bunch of bs but the way animation pops off in boruto is different from naruto.

I mean I get there are problems with that but at the same time the anime fills so many blanks and actually gives some character depth and development that is just nonexistent in the manga. This was hands down the worst episode in terms of animation. Beautiful still frames but in motion it was barf. Reminded me of a lot of interpolated videos of anime fights scenes, except dragged out to the length of an entire episode. That said I'm still excited for them to finally see Kawaki.
