And you can tell how desperate Optimus was to protect Sam and not himself. You can hear the selflessness. That’s why Megatron called him “weak”. Peter Cullen is the best man.

I remember going to the theater to see this in 2009. I was so devastated when Optimus Prime was killed by Megatron in this. But I love the revenge shot in the scene where Optimus goes two-on-one against Megatron and The Fallen. For me, nothing was more karmic than seeing Optimus make Megatron shoot himself in the face with his own cannon.

Actually The fallen said only a prime can defeat him is because Primes are immune to their own powers, which is why when the primes originally “killed” the fallen they used their spears instead of their powers that the fallen displayed. Its also why Optimus was able to fly through his telekinesis and shot up the star harvester. The reason why prime fell when the fallen teleported and used his powers is because the fallen made sure to directly teleport in front of Optimus making him fall

I personally think this is my favorite movie out of the franchise something about the OG cast just hold a special place for me especially when I was young Shia and Megan was the definition of ride or die one thing she wasn’t doing was leaving Sam 😂. Few things that will never get old with this movie ..... 1. The fight scenes and transformations still hold up 2. When bubble bee puts down his I guess you can call it “mask😈 also I’m not sure how intentional it is but I love his fighting style gives like a break dance feel if that makes sense 3. That chia pet line will never not be hilarious 4. Prime talks the MOST shit when he’s fcking you up “I rise you fall” goosebumps every time 5. Love the military guys especially tyrese it’s from the first movie but his reactions along with Shia seem so genuine when seeing stuff like this. 😂
